『花になる日まで』

I like to take a walk and observe the flowers and plants along the way. Sometimes I bring them home and display them in my studio as hints for my work.  

The motif of "Until Blooming Day" is the appearance of a lotus flower after it has fallen.  

This part, called "utena," is the pedestal on which the Buddha sits, and when the flower is finished, it expands to hold the seeds, which is unique and fascinating.  

In the previous work, "Blooming in the Silent Morning," I depicted a lotus bud swelling up and opening into a flower. In this work, seeds spill out from the utena and await the new season. These two works are a series, expressing the cycle of life.

略歴  

徳島県生まれ、大阪芸術大学卒業  

2005年より故郷の鳴門市で制作を開始  

半農版画家としてメディア出演や版画講座を開講しながら、自然から得たインスピレーションを作品に転化し、東京、徳島などで作品発表を行なっている。

Biography  

Born in Tokushima Prefecture, graduated from Osaka University of Arts.  

Began working in her hometown of Naruto City in 2005.  

Appearing in the media and teaching printmaking courses as a farmer and a printmaker, she expresses the inspiration she gets from nature into her artworks and exhibits them in Tokyo, Tokushima, and other places.
