Secure Vault – App Locker ("the app", "we") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
Last updated: August 2026
The app is privacy-first and stores everything locally on your device. This includes:
Your protected app list and favorites
Lock settings (PIN, pattern, password) — stored as salted one-way hashes, never in plain text
Security logs and unlock history
Intruder-detection records of failed unlock attempts
None of this data is uploaded, transmitted, or accessible by us or any third party. You can erase it at any time via Settings → Data & backup → Clear all data, or by uninstalling the app.
The app uses Android's Accessibility Service for one purpose only: to detect when you open a protected app and display the lock screen before the app is used. It reads only the package name of the foreground app. It never reads text you type, passwords, messages, or other content, and it never transmits any data anywhere. You enable this service manually, and you can disable it at any time in your device's Accessibility settings.
When enabled, the app uses Android's Usage Access to determine the foreground app as a fallback detection method. This information is used solely for locking protected apps and never leaves your device.
While monitoring is active, the app shows a persistent notification so you always know it is running. This is managed via the standard notification permission.
All sensitive permissions — Accessibility, Usage Access, Notifications, Biometric — are optional and enabled by you manually. The app never attempts to bypass Android security or collect data you haven't allowed.
The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data (such as advertising IDs) to serve ads, in line with Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Ad content and behavior may vary by your region and consent choices. We do not receive any personal data from these ads beyond what Google reports as standard ad performance metrics.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Lock credentials are stored as salted one-way hashes — the app cannot recover them, and neither can anyone else. All network traffic (ad requests) is encrypted in transit.
Disable any permission anytime from your device settings
Clear all in-app data via Settings → Data & backup → Clear all data
Uninstall the app to remove all local data permanently
