This Privacy Policy describes how SecurityKit ("the App") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you install or use the App. Please read this policy before using the App. For questions, contact us at secukitdevsup@outlook.com.
We collect technical details about the device needed to provide the App’s features, such as device model, operating system version, and identifiers that help deliver the App’s functions and diagnose issues.
When you grant file access permissions, the App may read metadata about files on the device (for example file names, sizes, types, and locations) to let the App perform features such as junk identification, photo cleanup, and user-initiated scans. Any file access is limited to the scope required for features you enable.
We collect non-personal usage data about how the App is used (for example feature usage counts, crash logs, and basic telemetry). This data helps ensure the App functions as intended and assists troubleshooting.
The App shows ads from third-party ad networks. These partners may collect limited, anonymized identifiers or aggregated signals to deliver and measure ads. Advertising partners’ own practices are governed by their privacy policies.
The App integrates third-party SDKs to enable certain security scan features. For example, the TrustLook SDK may be used to assist in scanning for known risks and to return analysis results. Data shared with this SDK is limited to what is required for those scanning functions.
We store minimal data and follow standard technical practices to protect information we receive. Sensitive or device-level data is processed locally on the device whenever possible. Any transmitted data is encrypted in transit. Access to stored data is restricted to authorized personnel and necessary service processes.
Security scanning: Analyze file metadata or app package information to identify potential risks.
Junk cleaning: Use file metadata and storage information to identify unnecessary items.
Notification cleaning: Access notification metadata to allow users to manage or clear notifications.
Photo cleaning: Use photo metadata to help identify duplicates or large media files for optional deletion.
SecurityKit displays ads from third-party networks. The App may share limited identifiers or signals required by ad networks to deliver and measure ads. We work with the following advertising partners: AppLovin, AdMob (Google), Facebook, Pangle, Vungle, and MTG. Each partner is responsible for its own privacy practices.
The App may request the Android permission MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE to enable features that require access to files across the device. You will be prompted by your device for this permission, and you may choose not to grant it. If you deny this permission, related features will be unavailable. Granting file access is voluntary and fully under your control.
We may revise this policy from time to time. When changes are significant, we will provide a clear in-app notice or update the policy text. Continued use of the App after notice means you accept the updated version.
