Born and raised in Southeastern, New Brunswick, Carissa is a registered clinical herbalist supporting individuals in understanding their health through the lens of holistic plant medicine.

Deeply connected since the beginning, Carissa's been working closely with medicinal plants for over 20 years. Today, she combines traditional herbal knowledge with modern clinical practice. 

Founded in 2023, Secret Forest Apothecary is the home of Carissa's herbal practice where she offers clinic consultations, herbal education, and customized herbal remedies formulated in her apothecary.
