Welcome to my website!

 I am the head of the LMU-ifo Economics & Business Data Center (EBDC), the joint research data center of the ifo Institute, and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU).  Moreover, I am a member of LMU Department of Economics' Junior Faculty and the LMU Open Science Center in Munich, Germany. 

In my research, I like to work with and combine all kind of data sources for my projects. However, access to research data in Germany is lacking behind in comparison to other countries. Therefore, I am involved in various committees and initiatives to improve access to research data in order to facilitate better cutting-edge research, thus enabling better policy advice and ultimately for the common good of us all.
