Sebastian Riquelme (Industrial Engineer 2009; M.Sc. in Geophysics–Seismology 2012) is Network Manager at the National Seismological Center at the University of Chile (CSN). He is also a researcher at the Seismic Risk Program (PRS) at the University of Chile. His work is focused on issues relating to earthquake sources, earthquake and tsunami early warning, tsunami modeling, and earthquake–tsunami hazards in subduction zones. Sebastian is also a senior scientist heavily involved in the real-time response to earthquakes at the CSN, helping to rapidly characterize the source properties of earthquakes. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, under the supervision of Professor Jorge Crempien, where his research is dedicated to advancing the understanding of earthquake source processes in subduction zones.
