Shunxin Wang, originally from Shenzhen, China, obtained her bachelor's degree in Electronics and Information Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU). She went on to complete a combined program offered by the Univerity of Twente (UT) and NWPU and further obtained her master's degree in Computer Vision and Biometrics.
Currently, she is working on developing robust deep learning techniques for computer vision models. Her goal is to improve the performance of computer vision models under various perturbations, including illumination conditions, corrupted data, and other similar changes. She is also grappling with the challenge of dealing with noisy labels, which come in the form of fluorescent images and are particularly difficult to annotate even for professional annotators. Her work has the potential to enhance the quality of microscope images, thereby facilitating further cell analysis.
