Dear Parents, Guardians and Grads,
The Dry Grad 2024 Parent Volunteer Committee has been hard at work to plan this year's celebration. Since we kicked off planning last month, our efforts have been heavily focused on fundraising as this is the first and foremost priority. The cost to host the Dry Grad event is approx. $40,000 and is typically funded 50% through fundraising and 50% through ticket sales. As of today, we have only generated ~$7,000 of our $40K goal.
We must emphasize that Dry Grad is a 100% parent-sponsored event that requires the time and involvement from our entire Grade 12 parent/guardian/student community to help make this event a reality. We currently have a very small group of parents who are actively volunteering their time to help us fundraise but simply put, we need more help from all of you - or - we may need to make some very difficult decisions about scaling back the event this year.
Please support the fundraising efforts for this year's Dry Grad celebration for the Class of 2024. Here's how:
✔︎ Fundraising Committee: Join our fundraising committee to help us reach out to local businesses and community members for financial and prize donations, such as goods, services and gift cards. Please email seaquamdrygrad2024@gmail.com for more information or to join our fundraising team.
✔︎ Business Sponsorship/Prize Donations: If you're a business owner or know one that is interested in making a financial contribution or donating goods/services/gift cards, please email: seaquamdrygrad2024@gmail.com to connect with us. In return, we would be happy to acknowledge the business in our event promotions, signage, newsletter, social media, and website - reaching a wide audience of students, parents, and community members. We offer additional benefits for businesses that donate over $500.
✔︎ Family Contribution Fund: While we welcome as much fundraising help as possible, we recognize that not everyone has the time available to contribute to this effort. If you are unable to help us with reaching out to potential business donors and/or making a contribution on behalf of your own business or a business connection, we kindly request a contribution of $100 per family in lieu of your time. Please send your eTransfer to seaquamdrygrad2024@gmail.com. Include in comments "Dry Grad Contribution" + Grad's Full Name.
Please don't wait to offer your support. We need your help now.
We also request that you please lend your support as soon as possible. With the limited funds we have raised, we find ourselves in a difficult situation where we are unable to finalize plans and make any commitments. We run the risk of not being able to secure the vendors/suppliers we need for this event if we have to delay booking them until we have more funds in hand.
If you can volunteer your time now to help fundraise, please reach out as soon as possible. If you plan to make a business donation or contribute to the $100 Family Contribution Fund (in lieu of your time to help fundraise), then please do so before Spring Break. If you plan to buy a ticket to Dry Grad, please purchase by the March 15 early bird deadline. And please support Pub Night by reserving your gift cards by the March 5th sales cut-off. Basically, we are urging you to take action as soon as possible in March so we can get as close as possible to our $40K fundraising target. We have over $33K more to go. Together, with your support, we can make this happen.
With warm regards,
Seaquam Secondary Dry Grad 2024 Parent Volunteer Committee

Please send your eTransfer to seaquamdrygrad2024@gmail.com. Include "Dry Grad Contribution" + Grad's Name in the comments.
