Effective October 14, 2026 · SealScan: PDF Document Scanner for iPhone
SealScan turns paper into PDFs on your iPhone. It has no account, no login and no server of its own. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
Scans, page images, recognized text, signatures, folders and PDFs are stored only on your iPhone, inside SealScan's private storage. We never receive, upload or see them. They leave your device only when you choose to share or export a PDF (for example through Files, Mail or AirDrop), or as part of your own device backup. Deleting a document in SealScan removes it and its PDF from the app.
Camera is used only to capture the pages you scan. Photos access is used only to import an image you pick. Face ID or your passcode locks sealed folders; authentication is handled by iOS, and SealScan never receives your face data or passcode. Text recognition (OCR) runs entirely on your device with Apple's Vision framework.
SealScan Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payment; we never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase history for SealScan. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
No advertising and no ad tracking. No selling or sharing of personal data. No analytics or crash-reporting data is collected in the current version. If that changes, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated first.
SealScan is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
