I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences department of the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on Computer Architecture and Systems.
I work in the Berkeley Architecture Research (BAR) group and am affiliated with the SLICE lab (formerly ADEPT lab), advised by Sophia Shao and Borivoje Nikolić.
My research focuses on SoC integration and hardware-software co-design opportunities in multi-accelerator systems, spanning from hardware architecture and SoC design to system software and schedulers.
I also have contributed to the Gemmini project, an open-sourced platform for full-system, full-stack evaluation of DNN accelerators.
Prior to UC Berkeley, I earned B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
I have been awarded the IEEE Micro Top Pick in Computer Architecture (2023), the Best Paper Award (DAC 2021), and the Distinguished Artifact Award (ISCA 2023). I am selected as a 2024 Rising Star in EECS by MIT and 2023 ML and Systems Rising Star by MLCommons.
