San Diego State University's Chemistry Graduate Student Association
Our Mission Statement
The Chemistry Graduate Student Association (CGSA) exists to provide a space that promotes personal and professional development for graduate students in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department. As an organization, we have two fundamental goals. First, to provide a social platform for our graduate student cohort to network, make friends, and support each other during their graduate career. Second, to act as a liaison between our graduate student population and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry’s faculty and ensure that our voices are heard by our department.
We believe every student has the right to pursue a higher education that is free of harassment and/or discrimination. CGSA is committed to representing all graduate students in our department regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, religion, language, abilities, disabilities, socioeconomic status, and sexual orientation. We do not tolerate any acts of abuse, intolerance, or any other type of negative behavior that does not promote a healthy and positive environment within our community.
All views expressed on this website belong to CGSA alone and do not speak for San Diego State University or the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
