Scripture Reader (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your information.
1. Data Collection
Scripture Reader operates as a local-first application. We do not provide user accounts, and we do not store your personal content on our servers or on third-party servers. All data, including your notes, highlights, and reading history, is stored locally on your device.
2. Third-Party Services
The app does not use third-party analytics or advertising services that track user behavior.
3. Geo-Blocking
To comply with copyright restrictions, the app determines your approximate country/region using an IP-based geolocation lookup. This request is sent directly from your device to third-party IP geolocation providers: the app queries ipwho.is first, and if that request fails or returns an error, it falls back to ipapi.co to decide whether the KJV can be shown in your region. These geolocation providers may process your IP address under their own privacy policies. We do not receive, store, or log your IP address or the lookup result on our servers, and the app does not associate this lookup with your identity. If the IP-based check fails, the app may use your device locale and/or time zone as an offline fallback.
