# Privacy Policy for Scribble

Scribble is a multiplayer drawing and word-guessing game. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
## Information we handle
When you use Scribble, we may handle:
- **Profile information:** the display name and avatar you choose. An avatar can be an in-app option or a photo you choose from your device or take with your camera.
- **Game and room information:** a room code, player and session identifiers, game settings, scores, and your connection status.
- **Content you create:** drawings, guesses, and other in-game messages. This content is shared with the other players in your room so the game can work.
- **Technical information:** temporary connection identifiers and basic server logs, such as connection and error information, used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Please do not use personal or sensitive information in your display name, drawings, guesses, or avatar.
## How we use information
We use the information above to:
- create and reconnect you to game rooms;
- show your profile and gameplay to other players in the same room;
- run matches, calculate scores, and provide multiplayer features;
- maintain the app, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot technical problems.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
## Device permissions and local storage
If you choose a custom avatar, Scribble requests access to your photo library or camera only after you select that option. The selected image is used as your avatar and is shared with players in the room. You can decline these permissions and use an in-app avatar instead.
The app stores your display name, avatar choice, room/session details, and a pending room code locally on your device to make it easier to return to a game. You can remove this locally stored information by selecting **Clear Data** in the app or by clearing the app's storage in your device settings.
## Sharing
Your chosen display name, avatar, drawings, guesses, score, and room-related gameplay information are visible to other players in the room. Room invitations may include a room code or game link; share invitations only with people you want to invite.
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the app, its users, or the public.
## Retention
Room and gameplay data are maintained while a room is active and are used to deliver the live game. Session information remains on your device until you clear it or remove the app. Server logs may be retained for a limited period needed for operations, security, and debugging.
## Children
Scribble is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your location), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can address the request.
## Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
## Your choices and requests
You may change your display name or avatar in the app, decline camera or photo-library access, and clear local app data as described above. To ask about access, deletion, or another privacy request, contact us using the details below.
## Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date.
