Last updated: 2026-10-05
This privacy policy applies to the mobile app "Stitchly: Long Screenshot Stitch" for Android:
- Google Play: package com.simonj.screenstitch, developer "Global Utility App Maker"
The app is developed and operated by Kyu-Hee Jang (Google Play developer name: Global Utility App Maker).

OVERVIEW
Stitchly does not require an account, and we do not sell personal information. You choose existing screenshots, the app suggests where they overlap, you inspect and adjust each join, and the app saves the joined result as PNG or JPEG pages. Your screenshots and projects are kept in the app's storage on your device. The app also uses Google services and an advertising mediation partner for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and advertising.
SCREENSHOTS AND EXPORTED PAGES
The app does not use the camera or the microphone. When you tap "Join screenshots", the system photo picker (or, on older Android versions, the system file picker) opens and only the images you select are given to the app; the app does not browse the rest of your library. The app first reads the dimensions of each selected image; if the selection is too large for your device's memory, only the first images that fit are copied and the app tells you how many were imported. A copy of each imported image is saved in the app's own folder so the project keeps working later. The app also reads each image's file name and, when the system provides it, the date it was taken; if no date is provided, the app may estimate the capture time from the file name. Images are analysed and joined on your device; the app does not upload them.
When you save PNG or JPEG pages, the app adds them to your device's photo library in the "Pictures/Stitchly" folder and also keeps a copy in the app's storage. Pages in your photo library can be seen by other apps that have access to your photos and by any photo backup service you use. Sharing a page or a backup file only happens when you tap Share and choose a destination in the system share sheet.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
For each project the app keeps the name you enter with "Rename stitch", the copies of the screenshots you selected (including exact duplicates it set aside, so you can undo that), each image's file name, size, width and height, the capture date and how it was found, a fingerprint of the image pixels and small grayscale samples used to find overlaps, the order of the screenshots, the joins and overlaps, the positions of any opaque redaction boxes, layout settings (direction, padding or scaling, gap, border, background), creation and update times, the locations of pages you saved, and a small preview image of the joined result (with redaction boxes applied) shown on the home screen. It also keeps a list of deleted project IDs (without a limit) so that restoring an older backup does not bring deleted projects back. There is no fixed limit on the number of projects or screenshots. The app also tries to save your edits when you leave the editor or switch away from the app. The app keeps the latest saved version of your project list plus one earlier version.
Previews and magnifier images are temporary files in the app's cache; when new ones are made, those older than an hour are removed, and when the app loads your projects or you delete a project, all but the newest four of each kind are removed. The system may also clear the cache. Copies of saved pages in the app's storage that no longer belong to any project, apart from the newest four, and preview images that no longer belong to any project are removed when the app loads your projects or you delete a project. The app may also store basic operating information such as cached advertising settings and a cached More Apps list.
The developer does not run a server that receives your screenshots or projects. The app reads developer-controlled advertising settings and a More Apps list from Google Cloud Firestore, but it does not upload your screenshots, projects or pages. When you open More Apps, app icons are loaded from the web addresses in that list.
ANALYTICS, CRASH REPORTING, AND ADS
Google Firebase Analytics may process limited app-usage and technical information, such as app launches, screen views, whether the launch ad step was reached, ad revenue events (ad format, value, currency and precision), app version, device type, and app-instance identifiers. These events do not include your screenshots, file names, capture dates, project names or contents, redaction boxes or saved pages.
Google Firebase Crashlytics may process crash reports and related technical information needed to diagnose app problems.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may also request ads from the InMobi mediation network. Google and InMobi may process advertising identifiers and device, app, consent, network, and ad-performance information to provide and measure ads, and may use an IP address to estimate an approximate location even though the app has no location permission. A banner ad is shown at the bottom of the home screen; it is not shown in the editor or on the screen that lists your saved pages. Full-screen ads (an ad when the app opens or returns from the background, and sometimes an ad after you save pages) are separate: the app does not start a full-screen ad while a project is open in the editor or while the app is importing screenshots, saving, exporting pages, or creating or restoring a backup. At other times they may appear.
PERMISSIONS AND ADVERTISING CHOICES
The app does not ask for any runtime permission. Screenshots are chosen through the system picker, backup files through the system file picker, and saving pages to your photo library does not need a permission on the Android versions the app supports. The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, Bluetooth, health data, or notifications.
When the app starts, Google's consent message (UMP) is checked first. Where it is required (for example in the EEA and UK), personalized advertising stays off unless your choice allows it, and if Google's consent result does not allow ad requests, the app does not request ads. If the consent message cannot be loaded, the app still requests non-personalized ads and personalized advertising stays off. The app works whatever you choose. Where Google requires it, the app menu shows "Privacy choices", which reopens the consent message so you can change your advertising choice.
STORAGE AND YOUR CONTROL
You can delete a project with Delete on the home screen. This removes it from your project list and remembers its ID, and the app then deletes its copies of that project's screenshots (including set-aside duplicates), their overlap samples, its preview image and the copies of its saved pages in the app's storage. Files that another project in your list still uses, such as the same screenshot restored into two projects, are kept. A backup or restore folder in the app's storage is deleted only when it contains this project and no other project that you have not deleted; folders that also contain such a project, that contain no project, or that are incomplete or unreadable are kept. The earlier version of the project list may still include the deleted project's details until the next change is saved. Pages already added to your photo library or shared stay where they are. In the editor you can undo the last redaction box or, after confirming, clear a screenshot's boxes, and undo duplicate removal. To remove all of the app's stored files, clear the app's data in Android settings or uninstall the app. Local data may be included in a Google or device backup depending on your backup settings; uninstalling normally removes the active copy but may not remove an older backup.
"Create backup" makes a set of files containing your projects (as described above, including project names and overlap samples, but without the locations of saved pages or preview images), the deleted-ID list, and full copies of the original screenshots of every project in your list. These files are kept in the app's storage; creating a new backup does not delete earlier ones, which are removed only by project deletion as described above. You can share them with the system share sheet; where you send or save them is your choice, and the app does not delete copies kept elsewhere. "Restore backup files" copies the backup files you pick into the app's storage, checks them, and keeps the restored screenshots there. After a restore the app deletes its copies of the picked files, and it removes the checked parts of a backup once that backup is fully restored; parts of a backup that is still missing files are kept so you can add the rest later, and copies from a failed restore may remain in the app's storage.
Because we do not receive your screenshots or projects, we cannot delete them for you; the controls above remove them from the app. For questions about data processed by Google or InMobi, or to ask us for help with a privacy request, contact us at the address below.
Data processed by third parties is retained according to their service settings and policies. We use these services under their applicable terms, and we ensure that third-party service providers with whom we share user data provide the same or equal protection of that data as stated in this policy.

SECURITY
Your screenshots, projects and backups are kept in the app's private storage on your device, which the operating system protects from other apps; they are not separately encrypted by the app, so protect your device with a screen lock. Pages saved to your photo library are outside that private storage. Apart from the limited analytics events described above, the app does not upload your saved data. Communication between the app and Google services and the ad mediation partner uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit what the app collects to what is described in this policy.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Screenshots often contain personal or sensitive information such as messages, names or account details. Opaque redaction boxes cover the selected areas in the pages you save and in the app's preview images; the original screenshots stay unredacted in the app's storage and in backups. Check each page before you share it, and only use and share screenshots you have the right to use. Join strength is an estimate, and page breaks may cut through text.
CHILDREN
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
CHANGES
We may update this policy if the app or its services change. The date above shows the latest revision.
