ScreenMento is a digital screen-awareness and parental-control application. It helps individuals and families understand screen habits, set daily screen-time limits, manage limits for individual apps, schedule restricted hours, reduce short-video usage, review reports and, when Parent Mode is enabled, allow a parent to supervise a paired child's device.
This Privacy Policy explains what ScreenMento processes, what remains on your device, what may be sent to our servers when Parent Mode is used, which permissions the app requests and why, how optional location sharing works, and how users can control or delete their data.
ScreenMento can be used without creating an account. Parent Mode is optional and requires a parent account and explicit pairing of a child's device.
The former Telegram-based parent notification system is no longer used.
1. SUMMARY
ScreenMento can be used in two ways:
A) Personal use:
No account is required. Screen-time information, reports, limits, schedules and other local settings are processed primarily on your device.
B) Parent Mode:
A parent creates an account, adds a child and explicitly pairs the child's phone using a one-time code or QR code. Only after pairing does the child's phone send limited information to our server so the parent can view reports, receive alerts and manage supported settings remotely.
Pairing never happens silently.
We do not sell personal data.
ScreenMento does not contain advertising or an analytics SDK.
ScreenMento does not collect message content, passwords, keystrokes, private conversations, screenshots, screen recordings, contacts, call audio or the text you type in other apps.
Location sharing is optional and is available only on a paired child device when the feature is enabled.
2. PERSONAL USE — DATA THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Without Parent Mode, the following information is processed primarily on your device:
• Total screen time and screen time per app
• Daily screen-time limits
• Per-app limits and blocking settings
• Daily Usage Schedule and restricted hours
• Daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Scores, trends and achievements
• Short Video Blocker settings and counters
• Optional PIN settings
• Notification preferences and local notification history
• The child's age, if entered
• Installed apps that have a normal launcher icon, including their names and icons
• Screen lock and unlock timestamps used for notification timing
• An optional local profile name and picture
• Local application settings and onboarding information
ScreenMento may use the internet in personal mode for map display, optional address search, links opened by the user and Google Play functionality where applicable.
3. PARENT MODE
Parent Mode is optional.
A parent creates a parent account and may add children to the family. A child's device becomes associated with the family only after a one-time pairing code is entered or scanned on that device.
All communication between the app and our server uses HTTPS.
3.1 Parent Account Information
A parent account may include:
• Login ID
• Display name
• Password authentication information
• Optional recovery email address
• Account, family and membership identifiers
• Session authentication tokens
• One-time recovery code information
Passwords are not stored in readable form. Only a salted, one-way password hash is stored.
The optional recovery email address is used only for account-related functions such as:
• Password reset
• Login ID recovery
• PIN reset
• Email verification
Recovery email addresses are not used for newsletters, advertising or marketing.
Recovery codes, password-reset codes and email-verification tokens are stored only in protected one-way form where applicable and expire according to their intended purpose.
3.2 Child Profiles and Device Pairing
A parent may create child profiles and pair compatible devices.
Pairing uses a temporary one-time code, which may also be represented as a QR code.
The camera is used only to scan the QR code. Images are not stored or uploaded.
After successful pairing, the child's phone receives a random device credential. The credential is kept securely on the device, while only a protected representation is stored on our server.
The server may also store:
• Device name or model label
• Pairing time
• Last connection time
• Device and child identifiers required for the service
A parent can revoke a paired device or remove a child from the Parent Panel.
3.3 Information Reported by a Paired Child Device
While a child device remains paired, ScreenMento may periodically send limited information to the parent's family account, including:
• Total screen time
• Remaining daily screen time
• Daily limit and current limit status
• Daily Usage Schedule information
• Restricted-hours usage
• Daily and weekly scores
• Weekly comparisons
• Hourly usage distribution
• Short-video blocking counters
• App usage information
• App limits and block status
• Protection and permission status required for enabled ScreenMento features
• Device time-zone information
• Local date
For apps with a normal launcher icon, the paired device may report:
• Package name
• Display name
• Small app icon
• Usage duration
• App limit
• Whether the app is limited or blocked
This information allows the parent to view reports and manage app limits remotely.
3.4 Alerts
A paired child device may send alerts to the parent relating to ScreenMento functions.
Examples include:
• Daily screen-time limit approaching or being reached
• App limit reached
• Attempt to open a blocked app
• Usage during restricted hours
• Screen-time settings changed
• Protection permission disabled
• ScreenMento protection stopped working
• Location alert event
• Device connection status
Alerts contain only the information necessary to explain the relevant ScreenMento event.
ScreenMento does not include message content, passwords, private conversations or screen content in these alerts.
3.5 Remote Settings
A parent may remotely manage supported settings on a paired child device, including:
• Daily screen-time limit
• Per-app limits
• App blocking
• Daily Usage Schedule
• Restricted-hour blocking
• Short-video blocking settings
• Location sharing
A parent may also request a location refresh while location sharing is enabled.
Remote settings are stored temporarily on the server until the child device receives and applies them or until they expire.
4. LOCATION
Location sharing is optional and is off by default.
It is available only on a child phone that has been paired with a parent.
On devices that are not paired as child devices, ScreenMento does not enable the Parent Mode location-sharing function.
4.1 Location Sharing
When location sharing is enabled on a paired child device, ScreenMento may provide the parent with:
• Last known location
• Location updates
• Arrival and departure events for configured places
• Live Tracking
Location permission must be granted on the child's phone.
ScreenMento shows an in-app explanation before requesting the relevant Android location permission.
Background location permission is requested separately where required.
4.2 Live Tracking
When a parent starts Live Tracking, the paired child device may provide more frequent location updates for the duration of the live session.
A persistent Android notification is displayed on the child's phone while ScreenMento is actively sharing location as required by Android.
Live Tracking can be stopped and does not remain active indefinitely.
4.3 Location Storage
Our server may keep:
• The most recent location for the paired device
• A limited number of recent location points for technical operation and diagnosis
The parent interface shows the current or recent location and live updates. ScreenMento does not provide a permanent route-history feature to the parent.
Areas configured for location alerts may remain on the device that created them.
5. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES
ScreenMento contains two separate optional accessibility-based features:
• Short Video Blocker
• App Blocker
Both are disabled by default.
Each feature displays its own explanation before directing the user to Android Accessibility settings.
Neither service is intended as an accessibility tool for people with disabilities.
5.1 Short Video Blocker
Short Video Blocker supports specific short-video experiences in apps such as:
• YouTube
• Facebook Lite
• Snapchat
The service uses limited accessibility information required to recognize supported full-screen short-video interfaces.
It does not read:
• Messages
• Passwords
• Private conversations
• Form contents
• Keystrokes
It does not take screenshots or record the screen.
When a supported short-video interface is detected, ScreenMento may cover it with its blocking interface or use the normal Android Back action, depending on the permissions granted and the feature configuration.
The number of blocked short videos may be counted.
On a paired child device, limited counters and related protection status may be shown to the parent.
5.2 App Blocker
App Blocker is used for:
• Per-app limits
• Fully blocked apps
• Daily screen-time device blocking
• Restricted-hours blocking
The App Blocker does not retrieve or read screen content.
It determines which app is currently in the foreground using the app's package identity and Android usage information.
This allows ScreenMento to show the configured blocking screen when a limit or restriction applies.
On a paired child device, an attempt to open a blocked app may be reported to the parent with limited information such as:
• App name
• Blocking reason
• Number of attempts
5.3 What Accessibility Services Never Do
ScreenMento's accessibility services do not:
• Read private messages
• Record keystrokes
• Collect passwords
• Access private conversations
• Record calls
• Record audio
• Take screenshots
• Record the screen
• Uninstall apps
• Force-stop apps
• Bypass Android privacy controls
• Use accessibility information for advertising
• Use accessibility information for analytics
Screen content is not sold or shared.
6. SCREEN-TIME AND APP BLOCKING
ScreenMento may offer:
• Daily screen-time limits
• Per-app limits
• Notify-only mode
• Notify-and-block mode
• Full app blocking
• Restricted-hour blocking
The Android “Display over other apps” permission may be used to display the ScreenMento blocking screen.
Without this permission, relevant notifications may still be shown but the blocking overlay may not be displayed.
ScreenMento does not use this permission for advertising.
7. REPORTS, SCORES AND NOTIFICATIONS
ScreenMento calculates screen-time reports, scores and notifications.
For personal use, reports remain on the device.
For a paired child device, limited report information may be sent to the Parent Mode server so that the child's parent can view the information.
ScreenMento does not contain an advertising SDK or analytics SDK.
Google Play may occasionally display its own in-app rating interface. ScreenMento does not learn whether or how the user rated the application.
8. MAP AND ADDRESS SEARCH
ScreenMento may display maps using OpenStreetMap-based services.
Optional address search may use services such as Photon and Nominatim.
A search request may contain:
• The text entered by the user
• Device language information
• A coarse geographic search area when relevant
Exact account or device identifiers are not intentionally included in address-search requests.
Like ordinary internet connections, service providers may receive the requesting device's IP address.
9. PERMISSIONS
ScreenMento may request the following permissions or Android special accesses depending on which features the user enables.
Usage Access
Used to determine which app is in use and for how long.
This is required for ScreenMento's core screen-time functionality.
Accessibility Service
Used only for the optional Short Video Blocker and App Blocker functions described above.
Display Over Other Apps
Used to display blocking screens and supported short-video covers.
Location
Approximate, precise and background location permissions may be requested on a paired child device when optional location sharing is enabled.
Foreground Service — Location
Used while a paired child device is sharing location with its parent and Android requires foreground-service operation.
Foreground Service — Special Use
Used to maintain screen-time monitoring, limit checks and blocking functionality while ScreenMento is not open.
Camera
Used only for scanning a device-pairing QR code.
Users may enter the pairing code manually instead.
Notifications and Vibration
Used or ScreenMento alerts and status notifications.
Audio Settings
May be used by ScreenMento's blocking and short-video features where required.
Boot Completed, Wake Lock, Exact Alarms and Battery Optimization Exemption
Used to help ScreenMento continue screen-time monitoring and protection reliably when the app is closed or after the device restarts.
Internet
Used for Parent Mode, maps, optional address search, account functions, push-related functionality and links opened by the user.
Google Play Billing
Used only when Google Play subscription functionality is enabled.
10. FIREBASE CLOUD MESSAGING
ScreenMento may use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to help paired parent and child devices react quickly to relevant Parent Mode events.
FCM messages are used primarily as wake-up signals.
They are designed not to contain sensitive alert content such as:
• Names
• App usage details
• Coordinates
• Screen-time limits
• Private content
A Firebase notification token may be stored for the paired device so the server can send these wake-up signals.
11. SERVICE PROVIDERS
ScreenMento does not sell personal data.
Services that may process information on our behalf include:
• Cloudflare — server and database infrastructure
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push/wake-up signals
• Resend — delivery of requested account and recovery emails
• Google Play — application distribution and billing functionality
• OpenStreetMap-related map and address-search services
These services operate under their own applicable privacy and security practices.
12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
ScreenMento is intended to be installed and configured by a parent, guardian or other adult.
A child is not asked to create a ScreenMento parent account.
In Parent Mode, the parent creates the account and pairs the child's device.
Information relating to a paired child device may include:
• Screen-time information
• App usage
• Alerts
• Location, if location sharing is enabled
This information is used only for ScreenMento's parental-control functionality and is made available to the child's associated family account.
A parent may remove a child or revoke a paired device.
13. DATA SECURITY
ScreenMento uses HTTPS for communication with its server.
Passwords are not stored in readable form.
Sensitive authentication credentials, device credentials and recovery codes are protected using one-way or secure storage mechanisms where applicable.
Session credentials stored on Android are kept using Android secure storage where applicable.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical measures designed to protect information.
14. DATA RETENTION
ScreenMento retains server-side information only for as long as needed for the functions described in this policy.
Examples include:
• A limited number of recent device snapshots
• Daily summary information
• Recent alerts
• Current and limited recent location information
• Temporary remote-setting commands
• Parent account information
• Child and paired-device records
• Optional recovery email address
The recovery email address remains associated with the account until it is changed, removed through an applicable request, or the account is deleted.
Account, family, child and device information remains until the account or relevant relationship is deleted or otherwise removed.
15. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
A parent may permanently delete their ScreenMento account from inside the application.
To delete an account:
1. Open ScreenMento.
2. Open Parent Panel.
3. Open account settings.
4. Select Delete Account.
5. Enter the account password and confirm.
Account deletion is permanent.
When applicable, deletion includes:
• Parent account information
• Recovery email
• Authentication records
• Family information
• Child profiles
• Paired devices
• Usage information stored on the server
• Daily summaries
• Alerts
• Location information
• Pending remote settings
• Push registrations
A limited anonymous technical record that does not contain personal information may remain where necessary for system integrity.
A one-way fingerprint of a previously paired device credential may temporarily remain so that the device can recognize that its access has been revoked. It is deleted after the credential expires.
16. DELETING SPECIFIC DATA WITHOUT DELETING THE ACCOUNT
Users may request deletion of applicable personal data without necessarily deleting the entire ScreenMento account.

17. USER CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Users may:
• Use ScreenMento without Parent Mode
• Disable optional features
• Revoke Android permissions
• Remove a child
• Revoke a paired device
• Disable location sharing
• Sign out
• Delete their parent account
• Clear applicable local application data
• Uninstall ScreenMento
• Contact us regarding personal-data requests
Where applicable law provides additional rights, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information and may object to certain processing.

18. ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS
ScreenMento does not currently use:
• Advertising services
• Advertising identifiers
• Analytics SDKs
• Third-party behavioural tracking
• Crash-reporting SDKs
If these practices change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly before the relevant functionality is introduced.
19. INTERNATIONAL USERS
ScreenMento's service providers may operate infrastructure in multiple countries.
As a result, information used by Parent Mode may be processed outside the user's country under applicable service-provider, app-store and legal safeguards.
20. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy when ScreenMento's functionality or data practices change.
The latest version will be published with an updated “Last Updated” date.

3. EBEVEYN MODU
Ebeveyn Modu isteğe bağlıdır.
Ebeveyn hesap oluşturur ve aileye çocuk ekleyebilir. Çocuk cihazı yalnızca tek kullanımlık eşleştirme kodunun o cihazda girilmesi veya taranması sonrasında aileyle ilişkilendirilir.
Uygulama ile sunucumuz arasındaki iletişim HTTPS kullanır.
3.1 Ebeveyn Hesabı

4. KONUM
Konum paylaşımı isteğe bağlıdır ve varsayılan olarak kapalıdır.
Yalnızca bir ebeveynle eşleştirilmiş çocuk cihazında kullanılabilir.
Konum özelliği açıkken ebeveyn:

• Güncel konumu
• Belirlenen alanlara giriş/çıkış olaylarını
• Canlı Takip bilgisini
görebilir.
Konum izni çocuk telefonunun kendisinde verilir.

5. ERİŞİLEBİLİRLİK SERVİSLERİ
ScreenMento iki ayrı isteğe bağlı erişilebilirlik tabanlı özellik kullanır:
• Kısa Video Engelleyici
• Uygulama Engelleyici
İki özellik de varsayılan olarak kapalıdır.
Android Erişilebilirlik ayarlarına yönlendirilmeden önce uygulama içinde açıklama gösterilir.

Yalnızca hangi uygulamanın ön planda olduğunu belirlemek ve kullanıcının belirlediği limitlerle karşılaştırmak için gerekli sınırlı teknik bilgileri kullanır.
6. ENGELLEME EKRANLARI
ScreenMento, kullanıcının seçimine göre uygulama limitleri veya sınırlandırılmış saatler sırasında tam ekran engelleme hatırlatması gösterebilir.
Bu amaçla “Diğer uygulamaların üzerinde göster” izni kullanılabilir.
Bu izin reklam göstermek veya ekran içeriği toplamak amacıyla kullanılmaz.
7. RAPORLAR VE BİLDİRİMLER
ScreenMento ekran süresi raporları, puanlar ve bildirimler oluşturur.
Kişisel kullanımda raporlar cihazda kalır.
Eşleştirilmiş çocuk cihazında sınırlı rapor bilgileri ebeveyn paneline gönderilebilir.
ScreenMento reklam veya analitik SDK'sı kullanmaz.
8. HARİTA VE ADRES ARAMA
ScreenMento harita görüntülemek için OpenStreetMap tabanlı hizmetlerden yararlanabilir.

10. FIREBASE CLOUD MESSAGING
ScreenMento, Ebeveyn Modu'nda eşleştirilmiş cihazların hızlı tepki vermesine yardımcı olmak için Firebase Cloud Messaging kullanabilir.
FCM mesajları esas olarak cihazı uyandırmak için kullanılan teknik sinyallerdir.
Bu sinyaller özel ekran içeriği, mesajlar veya parolalar taşımaz.
11. HİZMET SAĞLAYICILAR
ScreenMento kişisel verileri satmaz.
Hizmetin çalışması için aşağıdaki sağlayıcılar bizim adımıza sınırlı veri işleyebilir:
• Cloudflare
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Resend
• Google Play
• OpenStreetMap ve ilgili harita/adres hizmetleri
Bu hizmetler kendi gizlilik ve güvenlik uygulamalarına tabidir.
12. ÇOCUKLARIN GİZLİLİĞİ
ScreenMento'nun bir ebeveyn, vasi veya başka bir yetişkin tarafından kurulması ve yapılandırılması amaçlanır.
Çocuktan ebeveyn hesabı oluşturması istenmez.
Ebeveyn Modu kullanıldığında çocuğa ait ekran süresi, uygulama kullanımı, uyarılar ve açıksa konum bilgisi yalnızca eşleştirilmiş aile hesabının ebeveyn kontrolü özellikleri için kullanılır.
13. VERİ GÜVENLİĞİ
ScreenMento sunucuyla iletişimde HTTPS kullanır.
Parolalar okunabilir biçimde saklanmaz.
Oturum ve cihaz kimlik bilgileri uygun güvenli saklama ve tek yönlü koruma yöntemleriyle işlenir.
Hiçbir sistem mutlak güvenlik garantisi veremez ancak kişisel bilgilerin korunması için makul teknik önlemler uygularız.
14. VERİ SAKLAMA
Sunucudaki bilgiler yalnızca ScreenMento özelliklerinin çalışması için gerektiği süre boyunca tutulur.
Bunlar sınırlı olarak:
• Cihaz raporları
• Günlük özetler
• Uyarılar
• Konum bilgileri
• Bekleyen uzaktan ayarlar
• Hesap bilgileri
• Çocuk ve cihaz kayıtları

15. HESAP VE VERİ SİLME
Ebeveyn hesabınızı doğrudan ScreenMento içinden kalıcı olarak silebilirsiniz.
Hesabı silmek için:
1. ScreenMento'yu açın.
2. Ebeveyn Paneli'ni açın.
3. Hesap ayarlarına gidin.
4. Hesabı Sil seçeneğini seçin.
5. Parolanızı girin ve işlemi onaylayın.
Hesap silme işlemi kalıcıdır.
Uygun olduğu durumlarda aşağıdaki bilgiler de silinir:
• Ebeveyn hesabı
• Kurtarma e-postası
• Kimlik doğrulama kayıtları
• Aile kayıtları
• Çocuk profilleri

16. HESABI SİLMEDEN BELİRLİ VERİLERİN SİLİNMESİ
Screenmento hesabınızı tamamen silmeden belirli kişisel verilerinizin silinmesini talep edebilirsiniz.
Talep için:

adresine e-posta göndererek silinmesini istediğiniz verileri belirtin.
Uygulanabilir talepler bu Gizlilik Politikası ve geçerli mevzuat kapsamında işleme alınacaktır.

ScreenMento şu anda:

kullanmaz.
Bu durum değişirse Gizlilik Politikası önceden güncellenecektir.
19. ULUSLARARASI KULLANICILAR
ScreenMento'nun hizmet sağlayıcıları farklı ülkelerde altyapı işletebilir.
Bu nedenle Ebeveyn Modu verileri geçerli hizmet sağlayıcı, uygulama mağazası ve yasal güvenceler kapsamında kullanıcının ülkesi dışında işlenebilir.
20. GİZLİLİK POLİTİKASINDA DEĞİŞİKLİKLER
ScreenMento özellikleri veya veri uygulamaları değiştiğinde bu Gizlilik Politikası güncellenebilir.
En güncel sürüm, yeni bir “Son Güncelleme” tarihiyle yayımlanacaktır.
