This version was updated on 21 July 2026 to describe the App Time Limits feature (per-app daily limits, the optional blocking screen and the second accessibility service it uses) in full, to describe exactly what each of ScreenMento's two accessibility services reads and does not read, to describe the Parent Alerts data flow in complete detail, and to add clearer sections on device backup, data retention timing and your privacy rights.
ScreenMento is a digital screen awareness application designed to help users and families understand screen usage habits, build healthier routines, manage screen limits, set daily time limits for individual apps, review usage reports, follow monthly trends, use the optional Short Video Blocker feature, and receive optional parent alerts.
This Privacy Policy explains what information ScreenMento may process, what stays on the device, what leaves the device, how optional parent alerts work, which permissions the app requests and why, and how users can control their data.
A short summary before the details: almost everything ScreenMento measures — your usage times, reports, scores, limits, PIN and app settings — stays on your device. ScreenMento itself never uploads these to us or to anyone else, though your device's own operating-system backup may include some of them if you have Android backup switched on for your phone (see section 10). The only information ScreenMento's own network connection ever sends off the device is: (a) the parent's phone number, the short alert texts (which, for App Time Limit alerts, include the name of the app concerned), and a periodic "still running" signal that also carries a two-letter device language code — and only if the optional Parent Alerts feature is switched on; and (b) subscription purchases, which are handled entirely by Google Play, not by ScreenMento's own connection. There are no ads, no analytics and no third-party tracking in this app.
1. Information We Process
ScreenMento may process the following types of information depending on the features enabled by the user:
Screen usage time per app and in total, read from Android's usage statistics
Daily screen limit settings and their day-to-day history
Per-app daily time limits (App Time Limits): the apps you choose, their names, the minute limit, and whether each is set to "Notify Only" or "Notify and Block App"
The list of apps installed on the device that have a normal launcher icon, together with their names and icons, so you can choose apps and so reports can show readable names
Work or study schedule settings and any recorded study-time violation minutes
Screen usage alerts related to selected schedules or limits
Daily, weekly and monthly reports, scores and trend history calculated on the device
The child's age, if entered, used only to shape the on-device scoring and guidance
App settings and user preferences
Notification preferences and notification history shown in the app
Optional PIN settings
Optional Parent Alerts settings, including the parent's phone number if you enter one
Short video blocking counters, if Short Video Blocker is enabled
Subscription status (a simple "active / not active" flag)
The device's two-letter language code, used to show the app and its notifications in the right language
Screen lock and unlock timestamps, used only to help decide when it is a sensible moment to show a notification
ScreenMento does not aim to collect unnecessary personal information. The only personal identifiers involved are the parent's phone number and, once a parent has connected through Telegram, the numeric identifier of the parent's Telegram chat, which the relay server stores against that phone number so alerts can be routed. Both exist only if you choose to enable Parent Alerts and type a number in.
2. AccessibilityService Usage
ScreenMento includes TWO separate, optional accessibility-based features. Both are turned off by default. Each one has its own switch inside the app, its own in-app explanation shown before you are sent to Android's settings, and each one must be enabled by you in Android's Accessibility settings. If you never enable them, they never run. Neither one is an assistive tool for people with disabilities; both are declared as normal apps (isAccessibilityTool = "false").
2.1 Short Video Blocker (ScreenMento Short Video Blocker)
This service is limited by the app itself to exactly five apps: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Facebook Lite and Snapchat. It receives no information at all from any other app on the device.
Android's accessibility framework does grant this service access to on-screen content, because that is the only way Android lets an app read the technical layout identifiers it needs, and ScreenMento does not turn that access off for this feature. What ScreenMento actually does with it is deliberately narrow: when one of those five apps is in front, it performs a short, size-limited scan of at most a few hundred on-screen elements. For each element it reads the layout identifier that the app's own developer gave it (for example "reel_recycler" or "clips_viewer").
In the two Facebook apps only — where Facebook removes those layout identifiers from its own app, so identifiers alone cannot recognize the Reels player — ScreenMento additionally reads one narrow thing: only for elements that carry no visible text and match one of two narrow shapes — a small tappable icon button, or the single element filling nearly the entire screen — the short accessibility label Facebook attaches to that element for screen readers, to see whether it is a Reels player control (such as "Share this reel") or the playing Reel itself (a short label such as "Reel, 12,345 views"). That value is compared in memory against a fixed, built-in list of Reels player signals and is immediately discarded; it is never stored, logged or transmitted anywhere. Visible text on screen — posts, captions, comments, messages, usernames, passwords, form fields — is never examined: ScreenMento only checks whether an element carries visible text at all (yes/no, to exclude it), never what that text says, and elements that carry visible text are excluded before any label of theirs is read.
If those identifiers show that a full-screen short-video player (Reels or Shorts) is open, ScreenMento covers it. If you have granted the optional "Display over other apps" permission, ScreenMento draws its own opaque screen on top of the player so the video is hidden, and it mutes the device's media volume while that cover is shown so the video is silent — you stay inside the app and can leave the player at any time using the "Close" button on the cover or the system Home/Back buttons. While covered, ScreenMento does not read, capture or record what is underneath; the cover is simply an opaque screen drawn on top. When you leave the short-video player, the cover is removed and the media volume is restored. If you have not granted that permission, ScreenMento instead performs the standard Android Back action — exactly as if you had pressed Back yourself — to leave the player. Either way, it increases two plain counters kept on the device (a running total and a count for that day). At certain counts (3, 5, 10, 20, then every additional 10) it shows you a local notification and records that milestone in the app's own notification history. These counters record no app name, no title and no timestamp beyond the calendar day, and nothing about what the video was; per-day counters are deleted automatically after 8 days.
This service does not take screenshots and does not record the screen. Normal use of Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Snapchat — including Instagram Stories, chats, and the Reels/Shorts tab buttons in a normal feed — is not blocked: the service acts only when the signals above show that a full-screen short-video player is open.
Only if Parent Alerts are enabled, two things related to this feature can ever be sent off the device: the block count described above (for example "12 short videos have been blocked so far"), and a short message saying that you switched the Short Video Blocker itself on or off. No screen content, app name, text or anything you saw or typed is ever included in either message.
2.2 App Blocker for App Time Limits (ScreenMento App Blocker)
This is a second, completely separate accessibility service, used only by the optional "Notify and Block App" mode of App Time Limits.
This service cannot read screen content at all. The ability to retrieve window content is switched off in its configuration, so Android does not give it screen content even if it asked. It never reads text, never walks through the elements of a screen and never takes screenshots.
The only thing it receives from the accessibility framework is a notification that a window has changed, and the only field it reads from that notification is the package name — that is, which app has just come to the foreground. Unlike the Short Video Blocker, it is not restricted to a fixed list of apps, because the apps to limit are chosen by you and could be any app. This means Android tells this service the package name of every app that comes to the foreground, including apps you have never limited — your banking app, your messenger, your camera. Because window content is switched off, that package name is all it ever learns from those events; it cannot see anything inside those apps. Each package name is compared, in memory only, against the short list of apps you put into "Notify and Block App" mode whose limit for today is already used up; if it does not match, it is discarded immediately and never written to storage or sent anywhere.
To be certain which app is really in front, this service also reads Android's usage statistics — package names and timestamps from the system's own record of which app was used when, never screen content. While the screen is on, it checks roughly every 5 seconds; while an app that has already used up its "Notify and Block" limit is being watched, it checks roughly once a second, so the reminder appears and disappears at the right moment. These checks happen whenever the screen is on and this service is enabled — even if you currently have no per-app limits configured at all — because deciding whether a reminder is needed requires first knowing which app is in front. No check happens while the screen is off. The result is used only in memory to decide whether to show or hide the reminder; it is never stored and never transmitted.
This service performs no network requests of any kind. Nothing it observes is ever sent anywhere.
2.3 What ScreenMento Never Does With AccessibilityService
Neither service reads messages, records keystrokes, collects passwords, accesses private conversations, records audio, records calls, takes screenshots, changes device settings without permission, bypasses Android privacy controls, uninstalls or force-stops apps, or uses accessibility data for advertising or analytics.
ScreenMento does not store, sell or share screen content obtained through AccessibilityService. No screen content itself — no text, no images, no screenshots, no layout data, and nothing you typed — is ever stored on the device or transmitted anywhere. The only things these services ever produce that can leave the device are the two small, aggregate items described in section 2.1 (a block count and an on/off status message), and only if you have switched Parent Alerts on. The App Blocker service described in section 2.2 transmits nothing at all, under any circumstance.
To know whether its own two services are switched on — and to warn you if Android has silently stopped the Short Video Blocker — ScreenMento also reads the Android system setting that lists which accessibility services are currently enabled on the device. It only checks for its own two entries in that list, it never changes the setting, and nothing read from it is stored or sent anywhere.
3. App Time Limits and the Blocking Screen
App Time Limits lets you set a daily minute limit for individual apps.
When an app you limited approaches or passes its limit, ScreenMento shows local notifications on the device at roughly 90%, 100%, 110%, 125% and 150% of that limit.
Each app limit has one of two modes:
Notify Only (the default): you only get notifications. Nothing is blocked.
Notify and Block App: in addition to the notifications, once the daily limit is reached, ScreenMento shows a full-screen reminder on top of that app. The reminder shows the app's icon and name, the words "Limit Reached", and two buttons: "Open ScreenMento" and "Exit app".
To draw that reminder, ScreenMento needs Android's "Display over other apps" permission (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW). This permission is used for this reminder screen and nothing else. It is not used to show advertising, to capture what is on the screen, or to overlay anything on other apps at any other time.
The reminder is deliberately not focusable, which means Home, Back and Recents keep working normally — you are never locked into the reminder or out of your phone. While the reminder is showing, ScreenMento asks Android for audio focus (no separate permission is needed for this — Android grants it to any app that asks), which causes well-behaved media apps to pause so the reminder is not talked over. This is a permanent request, not a brief one, so that a blocked app cannot simply keep playing in the background behind the reminder; the practical effect is that paused playback does not resume by itself once the reminder is dismissed, and — because Android grants audio focus device-wide — other audio that happened to be playing at that same moment can also be paused and will not restart on its own (you can simply press play again). Apps that do not follow Android's audio focus rules may keep playing sound regardless; the reminder still covers the screen. The reminder disappears as soon as another app comes to the front, the limit is removed, the mode is changed to Notify Only, or the day rolls over.
If you do not grant the "Display over other apps" permission, nothing breaks: you simply receive the notification without the reminder screen.
To let you choose which apps to limit, and to show readable names and icons in your reports, ScreenMento reads the list of apps on the device that have a normal launcher icon. It does not use the broad QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission; that permission is explicitly removed from the app, so ScreenMento cannot obtain a complete list of everything installed. This app list stays on the device.
4. How We Use Information
ScreenMento uses information to:
Track and display screen usage awareness
Monitor daily screen limits and per-app time limits
Support work or study schedule awareness
Send local notifications
Show the optional blocking reminder for apps in "Notify and Block App" mode
Send optional Parent Alerts when enabled
Display daily, weekly and monthly screen habit reports
Support the optional Short Video Blocker feature
Save user preferences and settings
Keep the app working correctly on the device — for example, restarting monitoring after the phone restarts
ScreenMento does not use any of this information for advertising, analytics, profiling or product-improvement telemetry, and does not sell personal data. There is no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK in this app (see section 16).
5. Optional Parent Alerts (Relay Server and Telegram)
Parent Alerts are optional and switched OFF by default. Before they can be enabled — and before you can connect, or send a test message — the app shows a consent screen explaining what is and is not sent. You must also type in a phone number yourself. If you do not do this, nothing described in this section ever happens.
5.1 How It Works
Parent Alerts do not go from your device to Telegram directly. Telegram cannot deliver a message to a phone number on its own, so ScreenMento uses a small relay server:
The relay server is operated by ScreenMento developer Seyit Mehmet Gök under the developer name IHLARA GAMES and runs on Cloudflare Workers at https://dawn-meadow-c2ca.memo35771994.workers.dev. Cloudflare acts as the hosting provider for it.
When you tap "Connect to Telegram", the phone number you typed is sent to that server over HTTPS and is placed in a Telegram link. When the parent presses Start in Telegram, the parent's own message contains those digits, and the server stores the pairing "phone number → Telegram chat identifier" in Cloudflare's key-value storage.
Later, when an alert fires, your device sends the alert to that server over HTTPS. The server looks up the Telegram chat that matches the phone number and forwards the message to Telegram, which delivers it to the parent.
5.2 What Is Sent Off the Device
The parent's phone number, digits only (all other characters are stripped). It is used purely as a matching key. The same digits are sent to the relay server in four situations: when you tap "Connect to Telegram" (as part of the Telegram link, described in 5.1); each time the Parent Alerts screen checks whether a number is already connected, so it can show "connected" or "not connected"; with every alert; and with every heartbeat, so the server can find the right Telegram chat. Telegram itself is never asked to send anything to the number — it only ever delivers messages to the Telegram chat that was connected.
The alert text: a short title and body, already translated on your device before it is sent. Alerts about App Time Limits contain the NAME OF THE APP concerned (for example "YouTube reached today's limit" or "YouTube is 25% over today's limit"), so the name of an app that was used does leave the device. Short Video Blocker alerts contain only a count or an on/off status, never an app name. Daily-limit and study-schedule alerts contain no app name.
A short technical key describing the alert (a date, a threshold name and, for app limits, the package name of the limited app). It exists only so the same alert cannot be delivered twice.
A periodic "the device is still running" signal (a heartbeat), containing only the phone number and the device's two-letter language code — no usage figures, no app names. This is sent roughly every 30 minutes in the background and once when the app starts, for as long as Parent Alerts stays switched on — including while ScreenMento itself is closed — so the server can notice if the app is removed or force-stopped and let the parent know. The language code travels only with this heartbeat, not with the alerts themselves (alert text is already translated before it is sent); the server stores it so that the one message it can generate on its own — the "device has not checked in" notice described below — is written in the right language. If nothing is received for 26 hours, the server sends the parent one plain-language message saying the device has not checked in.
A shared application identifier that is built into the app and identifies requests as coming from ScreenMento. It is not a secret and is not treated as strong authentication — see section 12.
As with any request made over the internet, the connection itself carries your device's IP address to the relay server and, when a message is forwarded, to Telegram. ScreenMento does not read, use or store this address itself, and does not derive your location from it; Cloudflare and Telegram may process it as part of running and protecting their own networks, under their own privacy policies. ScreenMento does not request location permission and never asks Android for your location.
Other messages that may be relayed when the corresponding event happens: the daily limit was changed (the old and new minute values), the Short Video Blocker was turned on or off, Parent Alerts are about to be turned off, Usage Access was revoked, and any text you type into the "Send test message" box.
Please note that, by design, a parent alert is still relayed even if the on-device notification itself has been muted, so that supervision keeps working.
5.3 What Is Never Sent
ScreenMento does not send message content, passwords, keystrokes, private conversations, audio, call recordings, photos, videos, personal files, screen content, screenshots, contacts, or your location — the app holds no location permission of any kind. Your usage reports, scores, per-app minute figures, PIN, child's age and app-limit configuration are never uploaded.
5.4 What the Relay Server Stores, and for How Long
The pairing between the phone number you typed (digits only) and the numeric identifier of the parent's Telegram chat is stored on the relay server so alerts can be routed to the right chat. No name, username, message history or usage data is stored with it. This pairing has no automatic expiry: it remains stored until it is removed manually. Turning Parent Alerts off in the app stops your device sending anything further, but it does not by itself delete this stored pairing. To have it deleted, email memo35771994@gmail.com with the phone number you used; we will remove it and confirm by reply, aiming to complete the deletion within 30 days, and may ask you to confirm the request from the connected Telegram chat first, so that a pairing cannot be deleted by someone other than the parent who set it up.
The last-seen (heartbeat) record and the language code are stored with a 30-day expiry, refreshed each time a heartbeat arrives.
The short duplicate-prevention key is stored for one hour and then expires.
Short-term rate-limiting counters are kept for 60 seconds.
The alert text itself is not written to the relay server's own storage: it is limited to 3,500 characters and passed straight through to Telegram. Cloudflare, as the hosting provider, may keep short-lived operational request logs under its own policies, which ScreenMento does not control or read.
If the device is offline when an alert fires, the message waits on the device itself (a maximum of 20 messages, discarded after 24 hours) and is retried when the connection returns.
Once forwarded, a message lives in the parent's Telegram account and is subject to Telegram's own policies and to whatever the parent does with it there.
Parent Alerts are intended to support healthy digital habits and responsible guidance. The notification language is designed to be informative and non-accusatory.
6. Permissions We Request and Why
Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS, a special access granted in Android Settings): the core of the app. It lets ScreenMento see how long each app was on screen, using Android's usage event log (which app came to the front and when). It does not show anything you typed or looked at inside those apps. Without it the app cannot measure anything. It is required.
Accessibility (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE, on two separate services): described in full in section 2. Both optional, both off by default.
Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): for two optional reminders only — the App Time Limits blocking reminder described in section 3, and the Short Video Blocker cover described in section 2 (an opaque screen drawn over a Reels/Shorts player). It is never used to show advertising, to capture what is on the screen, or to overlay anything on other apps at any other time. Optional.
Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): keeps a small monitoring service running, with the permanent status-bar notification Android requires, so screen time keeps being counted and limit alerts still arrive while ScreenMento is closed. The "special use" type is declared because Android would otherwise stop a monitoring service after a few hours a day and tracking would quietly break.
Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): a 15-minute safety check that restarts monitoring if Android or the phone manufacturer stops it. Optional; without it the app falls back to less precise alarms.
Start after restart (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): lets counting resume automatically after the phone is restarted or the app is updated.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): shows the on-device reminders — approaching the daily limit, limit reached, screen use during study hours, per-app limit alerts, short-video milestones.
Vibration (VIBRATE): makes alerts vibrate. Can be turned off in ScreenMento's notification settings.
Audio settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): lets you set the notification volume from inside ScreenMento, briefly lowers loud media so an alert can be heard, and mutes the media volume while the Short Video Blocker cover (section 2) is shown so a Reels/Shorts video is silent (the volume is restored when the cover is removed). Requesting audio focus for the App Time Limits blocking reminder (section 3) does not require this or any other permission — Android grants that to any app that asks.
Wake lock (WAKE_LOCK): keeps the processor awake for a few seconds at a time so a usage check can finish. Each lock is short (under about 30 seconds).
Ignore battery optimisation (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): shows the standard Android dialog asking to exempt ScreenMento from battery saving, so background tracking and alerts are not delayed. Optional.
Internet (INTERNET): used only for the optional Parent Alerts feature — sending an alert, checking whether a phone number is connected, and the periodic heartbeat — and for opening links you tap, such as the Telegram connection link and this privacy policy, in your browser. Subscription purchases are handled by the Google Play Store app itself, not by ScreenMento's own network connection. Nothing else is uploaded.
Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): lets Google Play handle the subscription. See section 9.
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES is deliberately removed from the app, so ScreenMento cannot obtain a full list of everything installed. A narrow query is used instead to resolve only the names and icons of apps that have a launcher icon.
7. Who This App Is For, and Children's Privacy
ScreenMento is intended to be downloaded, installed and configured by a parent, legal guardian or other adult aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children: it does not ask a child to create an account and does not invite a child to provide personal information. Only an adult should enter a phone number into Parent Alerts; the number entered should be the supervising adult's own contact number, used solely to deliver alerts to that adult.
ScreenMento does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of digital consent that applies where they live (13 in many countries; 13–16 in different EU/EEA member states under GDPR Article 8). The child's age, if entered by the parent, is a single number used only on the device to adjust the on-device scores and guidance ScreenMento shows; it is never transmitted anywhere.
If you believe a child has entered a phone number or other personal information into Parent Alerts without a parent's or guardian's knowledge, please email memo35771994@gmail.com; we will delete the stored phone-number pairing described in section 5.4 as quickly as possible, and review whether any other information needs to be removed.
8. Data Sharing
ScreenMento does not sell personal data.
Data may be shared only in these limited cases:
With the ScreenMento relay server described in section 5, operated by ScreenMento developer Seyit Mehmet Gök under the developer name IHLARA GAMES and hosted on Cloudflare Workers, and only when the user enables Parent Alerts. What is sent is described in full in section 5.2.
With Telegram, and only when the user enables Parent Alerts. This happens in two ways: once during setup, the phone-number digits themselves reach Telegram, because they are the payload of the "Connect to Telegram" link and so appear as the parent's own first message to the ScreenMento bot, remaining in the parent's Telegram chat history; and afterwards, Telegram receives and delivers each forwarded alert message to that chat. Telegram processes both under its own privacy policy (telegram.org/privacy).
With Google Play, which processes subscription purchases (see section 9).
When required by law or legal process.
To protect the safety, security and integrity of the app.
ScreenMento does not share screen content obtained through AccessibilityService. There are no advertising networks, no analytics providers and no third-party tracking or crash-reporting SDKs in this app.
How this maps to our Google Play Data Safety declaration: we declare Phone number as collected and shared, because the parent's number is sent to our relay server and its digits also reach Telegram during setup. We declare App activity / Installed apps, because although the installed-app list and your usage figures stay on the device, an App Time Limit alert sent to a parent contains the name of the app concerned (for example "YouTube") and the duplicate-prevention key contains that app's package name. No other data type is collected or shared. All data ScreenMento transmits is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. There is no account or sign-in in ScreenMento, so there is nothing to delete beyond the phone-number pairing described in section 5.4, which can be deleted on request.
9. Subscription and Payments
ScreenMento is offered as an annual subscription with a 7-day free trial, sold through Google Play Billing.
The entire purchase is handled by Google Play. ScreenMento never sees or transmits card numbers or any other payment details. On the device the app keeps only a single "subscription active / not active" flag. Purchase and billing records are held by Google under Google Play's own terms; subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play.
10. Local Storage
The following stays on your device. ScreenMento itself never uploads it to us or to anyone else:
Per-app screen time and daily/weekly totals
Daily, weekly and monthly reports, scores and trend history
Daily screen limit settings and their history
Work or study schedule settings and any recorded violation minutes
The child's age
The optional PIN, which is stored only as a random salt plus a SHA-256 hash of that salt and the PIN. The PIN itself is never stored in readable form and never leaves the device
Notification history shown in the app (automatically removed after 7 days)
Notification preferences (on/off, vibration, volume)
Short Video Blocker state and block counters (per-day counters removed after 8 days)
App Time Limits configuration: the chosen apps, their names, the minute limits and the mode of each
Internal flags recording that an alert has already been sent today
Screen lock/unlock timestamps, used only to decide whether it is a sensible moment to show a notification
The subscription flag, consent and onboarding markers
The Parent Alerts settings, including the phone number you entered (which is also used for sending, as described in section 5)
App names and icons resolved locally for the report and app-picker screens
Any parent alert that could not be delivered, waiting for up to 24 hours before it is discarded
Note on device backup: ScreenMento's app data is not currently excluded from Android's own automatic device backup. If you have Android's backup feature switched on for your phone, Android may copy this app's settings — including the Parent Alerts phone number and the salted PIN hash — to your own Google Account, so that they can be restored on a new device. That backup copy is made by Android, not by ScreenMento, stays inside your own Google Account, and can be turned off at any time in your phone's Settings > System > Backup (or per-app, on some versions of Android).
Deleting the app removes locally stored data from the device, subject to the note above and to your operating system's own backup settings.
11. Notifications
ScreenMento may send local notifications related to screen usage, work or study schedules, daily limits, per-app time limits, short video blocking, and optional Parent Alerts events.
Users can manage notification permissions through the app settings or device settings.
12. Data Security
All data that ScreenMento's own network connection transmits is sent using HTTPS (TLS). This applies to every request the app makes: parent alerts, connection-status checks, heartbeats, and Google Play's own subscription checks.
Requests to the relay server also carry a shared application identifier and are subject to per-phone-number rate limits, which reduce casual misuse. Because this identifier is built into the app itself, it can be recovered by decompiling the app; it is a basic filter rather than strong authentication, and it exposes no sensitive data on its own. The relay stores only what is described in section 5.4: a phone number, a matching Telegram chat identifier, a last-seen timestamp, and a language code.
On the device, the optional PIN is stored only as a random salt plus a SHA-256 hash of that salt and the PIN; the PIN itself is never stored in readable form and never leaves the device.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Data Retention
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it, reset the app or uninstall the application (subject to the device-backup note in section 10). ScreenMento itself removes some of it automatically: notification history after 7 days, per-day short-video counters after 8 days, and undelivered parent alerts after 24 hours.
On the relay server, retention is as described in section 5.4. In short: the heartbeat and language records expire after 30 days, the duplicate-prevention key after one hour, and rate-limit counters after 60 seconds; but the pairing between a phone number and a Telegram chat identifier has no automatic expiry and stays stored until it is removed manually. If you want that pairing deleted, email memo35771994@gmail.com with the phone number you used; we aim to complete deletion within 30 days and will confirm by reply.
Messages already delivered to Telegram remain in the parent's Telegram account under Telegram's own rules until the parent deletes them.
14. User Choices and Control
Users may:
Change notification settings, including turning all ScreenMento alerts off
Enable or disable optional Parent Alerts, and change or clear the phone number
Request deletion of the stored phone-number-to-Telegram pairing by emailing memo35771994@gmail.com (see sections 5.4 and 13 for the process and timing)
Enable or disable the optional Short Video Blocker, and revoke its accessibility permission in Android settings at any time
Enable or disable the optional "Notify and Block App" mode, revoke its accessibility permission, and revoke the "Display over other apps" permission in Android settings at any time
Add, change or remove per-app time limits
Enable or disable optional PIN protection
Change screen limits and work or study schedule settings
Revoke Usage Access in Android settings (measurement then stops)
Manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play
Delete the app from the device
Contact us to request information or deletion where applicable
15. Your Rights
For the limited data that leaves your device — the phone number, the alert text, the duplicate-prevention key, the language code and the heartbeat described in section 5 — the data controller is Seyit Mehmet Gök, operating under the developer name IHLARA GAMES, contactable at memo35771994@gmail.com. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given on the Parent Alerts consent screen shown before the feature can be switched on. You can withdraw that consent at any time by turning Parent Alerts off in the app; withdrawal stops all further transmission immediately, though the stored phone-number pairing described in section 5.4 is only deleted on request.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to ask us to confirm what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Because the only server-side record is a phone number matched to a Telegram chat identifier, a deletion or access request needs only the phone number you used, sent to memo35771994@gmail.com; we aim to respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
16. Advertising and Analytics
ScreenMento does not use advertising services, analytics services, or any third-party tracking or crash-reporting SDKs.
If such features are ever added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated first to explain how the related data would be processed.
17. International Users
ScreenMento may be used in different countries. Where Parent Alerts are enabled, the data described in section 5 — including your device's IP address, as explained in section 5.2 — is processed by Cloudflare's global network and by Telegram, which may mean it is processed outside your own country. By using the app, users understand that data may be processed according to applicable app store, service provider and legal requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
