ScreenCap Pro — Screenshot & Annotate
Last updated: March 18, 2026

Overview

ScreenCap Pro is a browser extension that captures screenshots and provides annotation tools. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles your data.

Data Collection

ScreenCap Pro does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or user information. No analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts are used. The extension contains no remote code and makes no network requests to external servers.

Screenshots

Screenshots captured by this extension exist only in your browser's local memory during the active editing session. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to any external server. When you close the editor tab, the screenshot data is permanently discarded from memory.

Local Storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local solely to pass screenshot image data between internal extension components (from the capture process to the editor). This data is deleted immediately after the editor loads it. No persistent data is stored.

Permissions

This extension requests the minimum permissions required to function:

Third-Party Services

This extension does not integrate with, connect to, or communicate with any third-party services, APIs, servers, or analytics platforms. All functionality runs entirely within your local browser.

Children's Privacy

This extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 or any other age group, as it does not collect any user information at all.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
