Screen Time Coach & Focus 

Screen Time Coach & Focus ("the App", "we", "us") helps you see and shape your own screen time. It does that entirely on your iPhone. We built it with no accounts and no analytics: your usage data stays on the phone, and the only thing that ever leaves it is whether your Premium subscription is active.

IN ONE LINE

The App collects no personal data and has no account system. Your screen time never leaves your device. The only data that leaves the App is subscription status, processed by Apple and RevenueCat against an anonymous identifier. No advertising or tracking SDKs are included.

SCREEN TIME DATA STAYS WITH APPLE

With your permission, the App uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) frameworks to show your usage and to apply the limits you set.

•  Your usage figures are rendered by iOS, not by us. Charts and totals are drawn inside Apple's private DeviceActivityReport sandbox. That sandbox does not hand the underlying numbers to the app, so the App itself never sees which apps you used or for how long.

•  App selections are opaque tokens. When you pick apps or categories, iOS gives the App anonymous tokens — not app names, bundle IDs, or titles. The tokens are meaningless outside your device.

•  Permission is yours to revoke at any time in Settings › Screen Time, and in iOS Settings for the App.

WHAT THE APP STORES ON YOUR DEVICE

The App keeps its own records in a private app group container on your iPhone. This never leaves the device and is never uploaded.

•  Goals & limits — The daily targets and app limits you create.

•  Focus sessions — When a focus session started and ended, and whether you finished it.

•  Estimated daily minutes — Rough totals the app derives to draw progress rings and coach suggestions.

•  Preferences — Settings such as notification choices and onboarding state.

• Premium status — A simple flag recording whether your Premium subscription is currently active, so paid features unlock offline.

NOTIFICATIONS

If you allow notifications, the App schedules them locally on your device — for limit warnings, goal progress, and focus reminders. There is no push server, and no notification content is sent anywhere.

PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTIONS & PURCHASES

Some features are part of Premium, an optional in-app subscription. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Subscription status is managed for us by RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider.

•  We never see your payment details. Your card, billing address, and Apple ID credentials are handled by Apple, and are never sent to us, to RevenueCat, or visible to the App.

•  An anonymous identifier. RevenueCat assigns the App a random app user ID so your subscription can be recognised across launches and devices. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, and we do not ask you to create an account.

•  What is shared with RevenueCat is limited to purchase data: the Apple receipt or transaction token, which product you bought, and whether the subscription is active, expired, or in trial — plus basic device and app-version information needed to validate it. No screen time data is ever sent.

•  Restoring a purchase re-checks that same entitlement with Apple and RevenueCat. Apart from this, the App makes no network requests.

•  Managing or cancelling a subscription is done in iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Billing questions are handled by Apple, not by us.

WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

•  No name, email address, phone number, or any other contact detail.

•  No account — the App does not ask you to sign up or sign in.

•  No location, precise or approximate.

•  No advertising identifier, device fingerprint, or cross-app tracking.

•  No screen time, app usage, or focus data sent off your device — to us or to any provider.

•  No crash or usage analytics.

•  No payment card data, billing address, or Apple ID credentials.

•  No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties — ever.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App integrates no analytics, advertising, or attribution SDKs. It relies on two services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

•  Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and the Screen Time frameworks the App is built on — apple.com/legal/privacy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/)

•  RevenueCat — subscription management, anonymous purchase data only — revenuecat.com/privacy (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy)

DATA RETENTION & DELETION

Everything the App stores lives in the app's own container, so deleting the app removes all of it. You can also clear goals, limits, and focus history from inside the App at any time. Because we hold no personal data, there is no account or server-side profile to delete. Your subscription record lives with your Apple ID and with RevenueCat under an anonymous identifier — cancel it in iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions, and email us if you want the RevenueCat record for your identifier deleted.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If the App is used on a child's device under Family Sharing, all Screen Time data remains on that device and under Apple's parental controls.

SECURITY

Your data is protected by iOS itself: app sandboxing, the device passcode, and Apple's on-device encryption. The one exception — subscription validation — travels over encrypted connections to Apple and RevenueCat. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we keep the amount of data involved as small as possible.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
