TeamViewer Remote screen share technology gives helpdesk staff, IT technicians, and customer service reps an instant view of user devices. See what the problem is, guide the user to a quick fix, or escalate the issue up the chain where required.

TeamViewer Remote security access controls are designed to ensure secure screen sharing. The solution gives you total control over who you share screens with, how much of your screen you share, and for how long.

For the transmission of data in screen sharing sessions, TeamViewer uses RSA public/private key exchange and AES (265-bit) session encryption. This ensures that only your intended recipients have access to your screen.

For commercial use, TeamViewer Remote is available via a range of licenses to suit everyone from single users to global enterprises. This screen-sharing software is also customisable, with the option of add-on features to tailor the solution to your project needs.

Every time I try to share my screen in a MS Teams chat or video call, the ArcGIS Pro map window appears black. I can still see the menu/table of contents/ribbon but the map window is blacked out. Is it possible to share screens with arcgis pro? Is this something that is an issue with my configurations? Any guidance/help would be appreciated!

I had this happen to me as well at my previous job. I don't remember the exact user interface, but I seem to remember that choosing to share my entire Desktop/all screens rather than just my ArcGIS Pro window solved it for me. Does that fix it for you?

As far as we can tell, no you can't. Same issue. Map tab and window blacks out, regardless if just Pro or entire desktop shared. Makes help desk operations, especially during these times, impossible and we have to go visit the user in person. Worked with Google Hangouts.

For me it is ONLY an issue when attempting share via MS Teams. I have no issues with Zoom. Sharing the entire screen (mine is a 49" widescreen) just isn't the answer. Can ESRI work with MS Team and develop a solution?

Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this or not. I noticed that when I uploaded some info to the intuit portal for my CPA, that in the bottom-right corner is a red button that says STOP SCREEN SHARE. That troubled me. Is my screen being shared with someone? I clicked it and nothing happened.

My CPA uses the Intuit online service to collect my tax documents. I had the same issue with Chrome. I had not shared my screen with my CPA or anyone recently. Clicking on the button doesn't do anything. At least not that I can tell. When I previously ran into it, I cleared my browser history and I believe it went away. It just came back. Any guidance would be appreciated.

The issue with Ubuntu 22.04 is that it now uses a display feature called wayland by default, while in versions prior to 21.04 Ubuntu defaulted to using xorg as its display server. Wayland does not support screen sharing by default (until now, at least!).

For Slack in-app screen recording and screen sharing before version 4.33.90 (the entire video capture got broken in or around 4.33.90, so I'm unable to test screen recording):

I have a computer with a Nvidia EVGA Geforce GTX - 1660 Super graphic card with a Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS OS and none of the above answers worked for my case. Neither the chrome flag, neither dismissing the safe mode of wayland and neither changing to use xorg on logon screen.

I'm new to Upwork. Normally (outside of Upwork) I use Join.Me or Skype to allow clients to share their screen with me. Does the Upwork desktop app have that ability? I want the client to share their screen (I am not sharing my screen in this case), because the job involves them demonstrating their technical problems so I can troubleshoot. If not, what are my options so my work/time are tracked? If so, how can I send them instructions on how to do that?

Screen sharing doesn't have to be through the UW tool in order to track your time. You could be using Skype with the UW time tracker in the background and screen captures will show your screen with a Skype share. Whatever you are running on your desktop will be captured by the time tracker so long as it's running so use whatever you or the client are comfortable with for screen share. Skype/Slack/Team Viewer/etc.

Unfortunately, we don't have that feature on our desktop app yet. You may use other software/site to share screens with your client. Your hours should be tracked using our Upwork desktop app. Thank you.

I've developed a recent issue when I attempt to screen share: my zoom interface freezes while screen sharing or as soon as I stop screen sharing (people on the other end can still hear me, but I can't click on the interface or write in chat, and the interface often looks distorted). The only way to resolve the issue is to use my task manager to quit out of zoom then to go back to the meeting (which I am hosting) to re-enter. This is a big problem, because I am using zoom to instruct college students.

Did you check to see if there is any updates pending on your Windows computer? Is there any other applications that might be consuming a lot resources while you are running Zoom? Is the Zoom application up to date? You might benefit from this article by removing entirely the Zoom application by using the cleanzoom.exe file -us/articles/360062306851-Troubleshooting-screen-flicker-when-sharing-a... then reinstall it from www.zoom.us/download.

One thing I have tried to do is modify the video rendering as outlined below in the screen shot, but when I click my portrait on my zoom client, I don't get the settings option coming up. My name and "sign out" are the only things linked there. There is a settings link to click to the left of my screen, but that doesn't take me anyplace where there is a video tab, just to a long list of boxes to check to scroll through (nothing there to alter the video settings I can find).

So another avenue to explore for people with persistent crashing issues would be to turn off the web cam while screen sharing and see if this helps. If so, it may be the webcam causing it. Note, I zoom from a desktop without a built-in webcam, so I had to purchase an accessory one.

having the exact same issue, but intermittently. It seems to happen most often towards the end of the day if I have had 2-3 zoom meetings. then when i share screen - I freeze, they can still hear me, but I am locked out of the controls. But for me - I was NOT able to access event the task bar and end the Zoom process, I had to use the power button to hard reboot my computer. Most often the other people see just a black box. Luckily I had assigned a co-host, they were able to kick me out of screen sharing and keep the zoom meeting going while I rebooted

One trick I have learned - if you have another partner, or student you can trust, you can asign someone as a co-host and they can stop your screen sharing, and kee the meeting going while you jump out of zoom - just an idea

If anyone comes across this thread in the future. I ended up using open source code to build a solution. Then when my users need to start a meeting, they press a button and it opens in a separate window. Meeting has chat, screen share, etc. Also costs me next to nothing. Would be open to talking you though it.

From what I could see, your plug in does not offer true screen sharing. If I am wrong, you may want to address that in your plugin description/comments. I needed my users to be able to share anything on their computer screen - not just co-browse. I wanted to have control over how meetings were started and want to add the ability to time sessions in the future. I figured it would be easier to do this myself.

My solution is powered with open source code from TokBox, Open Tok. I have a very simple front end that allows an admin to create new meetings, share a link, and then have users join. From that point on it looks pretty much like a zoom meeting. Feel free to shoot me a pm if you want to talk more about this.

@graemefoster I am having exactly same issue with Optus NBN 100/40 plan; screen share and video is not ok. I know my another colleague had same issue with Optus NBN he switched to another provider and no issue at all. What I am doing now is - when I need to share screen I switch to Telstra 4G. I will switch to another NBN provider soon.

This is sort of a big decision.

So basically, if I need to share screen, I need to disable Wayland.

If I need the three finger gesture and the actual blue color in browsers, FYI solved it by disabling Hardware acceleration in the browser(Brave), I need Wayland?

Did that happen with only one project or file?

Try it with a small file to check if its simply too much for your computer to handle (sharing screen and SU)

Try some zoom alternatives. I normally share my screen using SU via MS teams. e24fc04721
