This Privacy Policy describes how Screen Guard ("we," "our," or "the App") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
1.1 Sensor Data (On-Device Only)
Screen Guard uses your device's motion sensors, including the accelerometer and gyroscope, to detect tilt and automatically activate the auto-hide feature.
This sensor data is processed entirely on your device in real time. It is not transmitted to us, stored by us, or shared with any third party. Sensor processing automatically becomes idle whenever your screen is off to help conserve battery.
1.2 App Preferences
We store your selected privacy mask, opacity level, mask color, and other in-app settings locally on your device so that your preferences can be remembered across sessions.
This information is not sent to our servers.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information via Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for advertising and analytics. These services may automatically collect certain information, including:
Device information, such as device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers including the Advertising ID.
App usage data, such as features used, session duration, crash reports, and general engagement metrics.
Approximate location derived from your IP address for advertising relevance. We do not collect precise GPS location for this purpose.
We do not directly collect or have access to your personal messages, photos, browsing content, or the content displayed behind the privacy mask.

App Permissions
Display over other apps (Overlay)
This permission is required for the Floating Bubble feature and allows users to toggle privacy masks over other apps.
Motion Sensors
Motion sensor access is used for tilt detection and the Auto-hide feature.
Quick Settings Tile
This feature allows users to enable or disable privacy protection from the device's Quick Settings or notification shade.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE
The overlay functionality may operate through a foreground service using the special Use service type. This enables the App to continue providing the overlay feature when required.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
This permission may be used to display the persistent foreground-service notification and related controls.
Screen Guard does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, device storage, precise location, or call logs. These permissions are not required for the App's core functionality.
How We Use Information
We use the information described in this Privacy Policy to provide and maintain the App's core functionality, diagnose and fix crashes or technical issues, understand feature usage and improve the App, display relevant advertisements to support free access to the App, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with service providers, including advertising networks and analytics providers, as described above, when necessary to operate, analyze, and monetize the App.
We may disclose information to legal authorities when required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or other valid legal process.
Information may also be transferred to a successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy or a substantially similar privacy policy.
Data Retention
App preferences stored locally on your device remain on the device until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
Motion sensor data used for real-time tilt detection is processed locally and is not retained by us.
Information collected by third-party advertising and analytics providers may be retained according to their respective privacy and data retention policies.
Children's Privacy
Screen Guard is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the applicable minimum age of digital consent in your region.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information to us, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect information processed through the App.
However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page together with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by applicable law.
