Wireless Interconnects for Scaling Classical and Quantum Computers
In conjunction with HiPEAC 2025 Conference, Barcelona, Spain
Breaking Barriers: Pioneering Wireless and Quantum Solutions for Next-Gen Computing
The rapid evolution of computing technologies has underscored the urgent need to overcome fundamental bottlenecks in both quantum and non-quantum systems. This workshop aims to delve into innovative solutions proposed by two pioneering projects: WINC (WINC: Wireless Networks within Next-Generation Computing Systems) and QUADRATURE (Scalable Multi-Chip Quantum Architectures Enabled by Cryogenic Wireless/Quantum-Coherent Network-in-Package).
WINC
The WINC project proposes a transformative approach to computer architecture by integrating wireless terahertz technology within computing systems.
QUADRATURE
The QUADRATURE project tackles the grand challenge of scaling up quantum computers from an architectural and full-stack perspective.
Goal of the Workshop
The goal of the workshop is multifaceted and includes: providing a comprehensive understanding of the WINC and QUADRATURE projects, highlighting their innovative approaches and potential impact on computing technologies; fostering collaboration between researchers, engineers, and practitioners from diverse fields such as quantum computing, wireless communication, and computer architecture; and discussing future directions and potential applications of the technologies developed by WINC and QUADRATURE, identifying opportunities for further research and development.
Overall, this workshop offers a unique platform for exploring cutting-edge advancements in both quantum and non-quantum computing architectures. By bringing together experts and stakeholders, we aim to pave the way for significant technological progress and the next generation of high-performance computing systems.
