For more than 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.
Scouting America, formerly known as Scouts BSA, provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to
Try new things.
Provide service to others.
Build self-confidence.
Reinforce ethical standards.
If you're looking for an adventure, you've found the right place! Girls grades 6 - age 18 are welcome to join Troop 152 G in Oakley! Regular troop meetings start soon!!
Troop 152, located in Oakley, CA was founded in 2024. We are a girl-led troop meeting in Oakley, CA. We have a plan to meet three times per month and participate in other activities throughout the year. We hike, we camp, we volunteer in our community and we learn through experiences together.
Scouting America troops are "scout led" means that the scouts plan and run the meetings and the outings. The scouts get an opportunity to plan, prepare and implement the Troop activities, with mentoring from trained adult leaders.
Baden Powell, the founder of the scouting movement, strongly emphasized that development of leadership skills is a key aspect of the scouting experience.
Our Troop currently has 7 girls, with almost 100% attendance at every event.
Troop 152 is all about having fun while following the Aims & Methods of Scouting within a supportive parent community.
