Serving in the role of the chief accessibility officer on the Communications and Marketing team in charge of 90% of the organization's web pages, I worked on training the campus community in testing and techniques for producing web content and documents that are accessible to people with disabilities in compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), empowering employees with new skills while contributing to a significant reduction in rule violations in addition to significantly improving overall compliance measures via establishment of a centralized web and document remediation service.

Wrote, published and maintained user guides, API documentation, software system help, automated rule help, administrator guides, installation guides, upgrade guides, configuration guides, and training courses for a suite of automated and manual web and mobile accessibility testing software, including that for the popular axe browser extension.

Serving as a director of product documentation and training, I worked with product managers, developers, designers, testers, trainers and help desk personnel to achieve the goal of appropriate, accurate and timely delivery of high-quality technical and user documentation and courseware for the axe family of products, including DevTools, Auditor and Monitor. In doing so, I helped contribute to the software being chosen by Microsoft, Google, development and testing teams everywhere, and to become the world’s leading digital accessibility toolkit.

Serving in a both a team and project leadership role, in addition to writing, editing and publishing work, I worked with software developers and business analysts from multiple universities on this open source software project for higher ed, contributing to a successful launch and widespread adoption and implementation of this first-of-its-kind system by all partner institutions, including MIT, Cornell, University of California, University of Hawaii, Indiana University, and Michigan State University, to name a few.
