**SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT**

MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2020

The board held a meeting today, Monday, March 23 via phone and based on the continuing worsening of the Coronavirus outbreak and the enhanced rules to social distance that the playoffs will be cancelled this season. Taken also into consideration is the makeup of the league age wise and the close contact and shared surfaces (such as darts and chairs) involved.

This is, as far as anyone knows, unprecedented in our league but just as the major league sports have delayed or cancelled their seasons we must consider the health of others before our own enjoyment of the game. And let us remember it IS just a game. The competition is fun, the comradery is good but in the end no one spreading a disease that has the possibility of killing someone else is worth that.

We hope you understand why we have made this decision and can respect that it was not done lightly or done quickly or without discussion. This is a unique situation that we hope no one ever has to live through again.

Further and changing facts and developments will always be taken into consideration and plans will be made to distribute awards from this past season at some future date.
