Welcome! I am a research scientist in the Engineering and Mining Experiment Station (EMES) at South Dakota Mines. The EMES serves as a core research facility at South Dakota Mines and manages a suite of (geo)chemical instrumentation including inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry, ion chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy, and x-ray diffraction. In this role, I train and assist users from numerous departments across campus and outside academic and industry groups to achieve their analytical needs utilizing this instrumentation. My personal research is primarily focused on understanding the interactions between geological, biological, and physical processes and how these interactions have controlled the co-evolution of life and the environment through Earth's history.Â
