notable skills. farah has proven her abilities time and time again, from using a mobile phone to distract the russians from her position at just 8 years old to surviving countless interrogations and beatings to escaping her cell as a prisoner armed with nothing but the broken, sharp handle of a spoon.
farah is extremely intelligent and resourceful, able to maintain a low profile during stealth missions. she’s got a vast knowledge of weapons and explosives and is highly adaptable. however, farah is a force to be reckoned with, above all else, due to her sheer willpower.
MENTAL.
farah is a hardened individual, however, the horrors she’s experienced throughout her life have left their mark, as well as the endless death she's grown up surrounded by.
she has c-ptsd ( drip fed trauma ) and ptsd ( one specific incident trauma ) and does experience anxiety when separated from her brother, hadir, which she is forced to overcome when he goes rogue and betrays her trust. farah is prone to experiencing nightmares and flashbacks and thus struggles with insomnia. she is largely desensitized to her surroundings, however, often appearing unphased by the horrors - stating that they "came to fight," suggesting death was expected / inevitable.
inevitably, hadir's betrayal leads to his death - which farah witnesses and participated in. this series of events leads farah on a complex psychological journey, and during the hunt for hadir she exhibits a lack of stability, acting on impulse and even endangering her group out of anger.
she was held for years as a prisoner of war, tortured and abused emotionally and physically. prior to this, farah was caught up in a bombing and got trapped beneath rubble alongside her dead mother. once freed, she located her father and brother, only for her father to be killed in front of her - forced to fight for her life and kill her attacker to save herself and her brother.

STORY.
in 1999, urzikstan is attacked by general barkov of the russian army. young farah’s location is bombed and she gets trapped under the rubble with her dead mother. eventually, she’s rescued and reunited with her father who takes her back home to find her brother, hadir.
one of the russians breaks into their home and kills their father, prompting farah and her brother to hide. she locates sharp objects throughout the house and uses them to stab the intruder, although he manages to grab her during one of the attempts. hadir distracts him long enough for farah to take his gun and kill the intruder.
they equip themselves with gas masks and have to leave their father, home and belongings as they attempt to escape the village. farah kills some patrolling russians, allowing the siblings to get into their truck, but general barkov of the russian army snatches them and takes them as prisoners.
for 10 years, they are prisoners - forced to work labour and witness chemical experiments on fellow prisoners. in these years, farah founds the urzikstan liberation force ( ulf ) and gains the title of commander. she is only 18.
after a torturous interrogation with barkov, farah confesses to being commander karim in order to save one of her followers. barkov states that he knew all along and simply wanted to hear her say it, before locking her back in her cell.
further torture and punishment ensues before barkov is halted at news of an attack. farah is left alone with a meal barkov had thrown at the wall and a spoon which she makes a shiv out of. she leads an escape, freeing her people along the way while fighting alongside a western aide unit, where she meets lieutenant john price who helps her free her brother. farah vows then to give her life to free her country from subjugation and chaos.
the war rages on for another 10 years. in 2019, she crosses paths with cia operative “alex” who requests her help to locate stolen gas. it’s believed that the al-qatala ( a terrorist force ) have taken it from the russians, prompting western agencies and military alike to act. farah agrees to assist upon the mention of john price, but only if alex and his people agree to help the ulf fight back.
this leads to the events of modern warfare 2019, where farah assists the sas and cia in taking down the wolf, the leader of the terrorist rebels. along the way, it’s decided by western higher ups that farah’s forces are to be seen as terrorists when her brother goes against them and reveals he stole the gas.
alex goes back to urzikstan with farah, who continues her side of the fight. john price and his team lead a raid that gets them to hadir, who reveals he was using al-qatala, the wolf and the butcher in order to gain information regarding general barkov’s gas factory. the intel is brought back to farah, and hadir is handed over to the russians.
with the intel, farah’s forces along with the help of price and his team attack barkov’s lab. farah manages to find her way onto barkov’s chopper and ambushes him, stabbing him several times before kicking him out to fall to his death.
with scores settled, she travels back to urzikstan to assist the sas and cia further when al-qatala gain a new leader.

she and 141 take refuge and as they gradually begin running out of resources it becomes clear that no one is coming to save them when flights become unavailable. there’s no safe way to reach the coast so their mission changes to surviving. they assist in getting civilians to safe zones before residing in one set up in washington state.
after a few days, the camp’s overrun and the team witness the controlling military abandoning the remaining civvies. due to captain price’s decision, they don’t locate another safe zone and attempt to survive on their own. they make their way out to the countryside in hopes of avoiding the population and set up camp.
from there, the force loses a few men to infection and captain price reaches a place where he feels he can no longer lead his team because they keep dying and he believes they’d have a better chance of sticking nearby but not together. price goes his own way, leaving farah with the rest of 141 who also eventually branch out. she visits price regularly, sometimes even travelling with him, though her main goal is to find a way back to urzikstan because her people need her. in the mean time, she assists 141 in collecting supplies and explores with iskra - searching for possible transport to get them across the sea.
eventually, farah joins a large group of survivors and manages to work her way up to being their leader. they help her in trying to locate transport when she tells them what she has to get back to.
captain price ends up getting taken hostage by hunters who force him to work and is missing for a year. it comes to light that price is missing and farah feels helpless as there’s no leads to follow and she can’t abandon her people. ghost ends up stating, after apparent interrogations, that price had been taken hostage by hunters and that he has a location. soap and one of farah's most trusted fighters, iskra, go with ghost and a group of farah’s people to locate price, leaving farah and kyle to prepare for the worst. when price is rescued and brought back to farah’s camp to rest, farah ensures he’s regularly watched over and supplies him with what he needs to get back to full health.
