notable skills. despite having only been in the army since mid 2019, donna is experienced, skilled and immensely capable. she's one of the first female snipers in the british military not to mention one of the few female sas operators. having passed gruelling selections, superiors describe her as formidable when she sets her mind to something.
a volatile asset, despite her disadvantages regarding behaviour, she's worth the risk, nicknamed "roulette" for her daring and risk-taking attitude that more often than not pays off. her desire for security and control means a knife-like determination, cutting through distractions and problems alike for her to reach the objective and ensure mission success.
lett is a passionate sniper with widely respected marksmanship, a steady hand promising to keep her team safe. trained in close quarter battle, recon, intel gathering and scouting, she makes a fierce enemy and an even fiercer bunkmate. unofficially tasked to capture / kill high value targets, roulette has found herself in an entirely different world but with her criminal background - one she's certainly more adapted to.
well versed in patience and outliving consequences, donna is adaptable to most environments and pressure, tactically capable should anything go wrong. typically of a jittery disposition outside of missions, despite her seemingly detached personality, with a rifle in her grasp she's focused and ready for anything.
MENTAL.
throughout her childhood and teenage years, donna exhibited significant attributes of conduct disorder, a group of behavioural and emotional difficulties characterised by a disregard for others and basic social standards / rules. she had difficulty in following rules and behaved in a way that wasn't socially appropriate. this behaviour started to reveal itself more and more after she turned nine, following difficulties at home as well as surviving s*xual abuse from a school teacher.
displacement equally impacted her feelings of safety and control due to being expelled from multiple schools for antisocial behaviour. she would later turn to more harmful forms of this behaviour, including smoking, drinking, taking drugs, criminal damage to properties, shoplifting and abusive / threatening language in the street. donna has been diagnosed with attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder, which is marked by a continued pattern of inattention and / or hyperactivity-impulsivity that can make functioning and development difficult.
she has undiagnosed antisocial personality disorder, due to being too young at the time of her crimes to be diagnosed. this is a mental health condition, oftentimes brought on by childhood trauma, wherein the individual has a long-term pattern of antisocial behaviours such as manipulation, exploitation, disregard for others and not keeping to social standards or rules. she experiences low empathy, making it difficult for her to emotionally relate to or feel the emotions of others - however, donna has developed cognitive empathy and can recognise and navigate others' emotions with intelligence and knowledge.
while sometimes she may appear as having a jittery disposition, donna is quite detached from the world, her emotions and the relatability of others. traits of borderline personality disorder can also be seen in her, such as emotional instability when it comes to abandonment or an instability in life, prompting impulsive actions, self-image issues and complicated / chaotic relationships.
she also has undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder and complex-ptsd, due to various traumatic events throughout her life including two individual car crashes ( that led to the death of two friends ) as well as childhood sexual abuse and an attempted sexual assault as an adult. donna has also lived rough for a period of her life and thus has trauma from this experience also.
an ex-addict of both drugs and alcohol, she's faced addiction more than once and naturally these experiences have had significant impacts on her. donna struggles with hypersexuality, both as a form of obsessive compulsive disorder ( obsessive / intrusive thoughts followed by a compulsive act ) as well as seeking the instant gratification of sexual acts to improve the chemical imbalance in her brain. this can leave her feeling disconnected from her surroundings, frustrated and shameful.
it's important to note donna's disinterest and disrespect towards authority. she thrives in the military because it gives her something to focus on, dedicate to, maintain extensive control over and above all else, emotional security. however, she struggles with being disrespected, having control taken from her and general authoritarian individuals. due to therapy, she's found ways of navigating this, but it's necessary to point out. donna has been arrested numerous times and has been through the criminal system ( young offenders institution ) in her younger years.

STORY.
donna is one of britain's first female snipers, having served within the british army for close to 5 years from mid 2019, applying for infantry training when the ban was lifted on women's eligibility for infantry. an exceptional sniper, scout and skilled in reconnaissance, 'roulette' is well respected within her line of work despite her short ( shorter than most ) time serving.
dedicated to her job above all else, donna is eager to build a more secure future for herself while equally running from her past. a younger life of criminal behaviour, addiction and trauma seems unavoidable, but she's keen to prove herself. much of donna's story is redacted for the sake of her line of work. to get to know her, you must interact with her or read over the information given out in headcanons and metas.
donna prefers to avoid discussing her past, and due to there being public information relating to traumatic events she was involved in she much prefers keeping to her given alias, roulette or lett for short - which she earned by taking risky chances and making finely-cut decisions where the outcome was beneficial and favourable to her / her team.
operating under the rank of sergeant, donna is a recent recruit of task force 141. their goal is to kill / capture high value targets in connection with al-qatala and konni group. outside of 141, she's a sergeant within the 22nd sas regiment, a widely reputable sniper and one of few women within the special air service. while information regarding donna is available online but specifically within older public records, she tends not to talk much about herself and it wouldn't make sense for your muse to outwardly know or recognise her.

MAIN VERSE.
following the story of 2023's modern warfare iii, donna aka roulette or "lett" is a sergeant in the sas and is part of task force 141, a multi-national special operations unit, tasked with capturing or killing high value targets. the hunt for makarov continues, and with it becoming abundantly clear they're in need of more soldiers, donna is - among others - recruited by captain john price.
for interactions in this verse, plotting is required or at the very least - dynamics need to be discussed. donna is complex and her interactions with each task force member varies dramatically, please do not make assumptions.

GENERAL VERSE.
based outside of military missions etc. donna volunteers at her local sobriety group in london, "sobriety core", nicknamed sobriety corps due to dons's associated with the military, where she is one of the managers. alongside this, she's dedicated recent years to the creation of the charity "lost veterans", that provides support for homeless veterans ( both those struggling with sobriety and those not ) within london.
her goal is to get numerous locations set up across the country. they provide food, thermals, water, showers, education and support, temporary accommodation if available and advice for local homeless veterans. having been inspired by a now-deceased military friend who'd been traumatised by the difficulties of living rough, donna is prepared to put whatever she can afford into her side work while also utilising fundraising and travelling / educating to encourage others to help where they can.
it's not necessarily something she enjoys doing, but her friend had done so much for her and she deeply respected him, even in death. donna travels between the uk and us, spreading her message where she can, engaging those of all ages to contribute as best they can. do not make assumptions about what donna gets up to, feel free to ask if you're not sure or have an idea!
