This video was produced for West Liberty University in partnership with the Title IX Office, as part of a campus-wide campaign to raise awareness about sexual assault and promote prevention. The core message of the piece is simple but powerful: sexual assault can happen to anyone, anywhere. To rein,force this, all visuals were filmed using extremely close-up shots deliberately avoiding the full identity of any individual. This creative decision removes bias and places emphasis on the universality of the message, encouraging viewers to understand that survivors can come from any walk of life. Audio played a key role in the storytelling. Carefully chosen sound elements were layered to evoke a sense of emotion, tension, and empathy, guiding the viewer through the emotional weight of the topic without relying on dialogue or narration. From concept development to filming, editing, and sound design, this was a fully self-directed piece created to support West Liberty University’s ongoing Title IX awareness efforts.
