When designing this ad for Nuke-Cokas Quantum drink, my goal was to capture the essence of retro-futurism with a bold, energetic twist—something that feels like a blast from the past and a leap into the future. This drink isn’t just a soda—it’s an experience, so the visuals had to scream fun, sci-fi, and over-the-top excitement.
In front and center is the glowing blue bottle, saturated in color to immediately draw the eye and evoke that “radioactive cool” look. I added a soft neon aura around it to make it feel like it’s buzzing with quantum energy.
The Background The spacey backdrop features stylized clouds, stars, and layered gradients to create that “cosmic playground” vibe. I wanted the ad to feel like it came straight out of a 1960s sci-fi comic—playful, dreamy, and a little chaotic in the best way.
The explosion around the bottom of the bottle represents the quantum energy explosion of the drink. It helps guide the viewer’s eye and makes the layout have motion, making the bottle feel like it's almost taking off in space.
Typography & Slogan: For the tagline, “A Quantum Leap in Taste!”, I used bubbly, exaggerated lettering with layered shadows and star shapes to match the theme. The word “Quantum” is star-studded to emphasize its importance, and I made “in Taste!” pop with electric blue to bring a final punch of color and fun.
Overall, Tone: The whole piece is meant to be vibrant, nostalgic, and just a little bit ridiculous—exactly the kind of ad you'd imagine plastered on a vending machine in a neon-lit alternate timeline or a retro-futuristic video game.
