When Shaggy asks where he's been, he takes off the coat, revealing a regal red robe with white trim and black spots, and holding a scepter with an orb on top. Just as quickly he changes into a mauve outfit, reminiscent of a southern belle during the Civil War. He also wears a yellow curly wig and holds a mauve fan with a pink base.

When Scooby picks up Velma's scent, he won't let anything stop him from seeing her again after six months. And then we get the scene when he finally reunites with her. D'awww. At the end, Scooby is able to figure out that Cleopatra is Velma in disguise after picking up her scent again. Really, it'd just be easier to say every interaction Scooby has with Velma in this movie qualifies. Second to the Velma/Scooby interactions in terms of heartwarming are the Daphne/Scooby interactions. The first example is when a severe sandstorm forces the gang to seek shelter in The Sphinx. Despite being led by the wrist by Fred, Daphne stays behind to call out to Scooby and Shaggy. Daphne: Shaggy? Scooby? Where are you?

Shaggy: We don't know. But when we figure it out, we'll send you a postcard! [both Shaggy and Scooby are running against the wind] Another heartwarming moment is when despite Fred and Daphne barely escaping the giant swarms of locusts brought on by the curse of Cleopatra with their lives, the only thing on Daphne's mind is finding Shaggy and Scooby. Considering her other experience with insects, the fact that she is able to brush it off so easily and focus solely on finding Shaggy and Scooby is both heartwarming and kinda brave. Both parts heartwarming and tearjerking for the interactions with both Daphne and Scooby in this movie is the scene on the temple steps after learning Velma was turned to stone where Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby are mourning Velma accompanied by the normally jolly Scooby howling in mourning. After a little while, Daphne walks down the steps to comfort him.Daphne [sadly] Aw, poor Scooby. Listen to him, he's heartbroken. [wraps her arms around him]

Scooby [whimpers] The final and crowning moment of heartwarming for the Daphne and Scooby interactions in this movie surprisingly last only roughly 10 seconds.Daphne [suddenly smiles] I got something that might cheer you up. [pulls out Scooby's lost collar] Recognize this?

Scooby [smiles as he nuzzles his collar before Daphne slips it around his neck] Aw, Scooby-Doo. (Also counts as Awesome) While not as long or complex as a heartwarming moment from something like a Disney or Miyazaki movie, Daphne's simple act of kindness by reuniting Scooby with something that was once lost, and Scooby's catchphrase "Scooby-Doo" which was spoken an awful lot like a heartfelt "thank you" before he cries brief Tender Tears/Tears of Joy and Daphne's smile, indicates that the both of them truly understand each other. All of this results in a brief moment that is surprisingly heartwarming and thought-provoking for a Direct to Video movie based on a show that's commonly (mis)labeled as just for 3 to 9-year-olds, and whose direct-to-video movies since Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase got lukewarm praise at best over the years.

He appears in an advertisement in one panel of Archie and Me 31 where it is advertising the Scooby Doo cartoon. Archie and Me 31 came out in October 1969, while Scooby Doo 1 came out in March of 1970. CGC has Scooby Doo 1 as the first appearance.

Which ever book went on sale first with his image in it is, by definition, the true first appearance. That is, the first time that the character appeared anywhere. HOWEVER, the question is whether or not this is considered a meaningful appearance by fandom.

While watching the movie Pinocchio, Scooby goes to get popcorn, and is buried in the stuff. A shady looking man pulls him over and gives him free tickets to the Pleasure Island carnival, and tells him not to tell his friends where he got them. Little does he know that he has been placed under a curse.

Watching the Scooby-Doo shows in order reminds fans of the interconnected nature of the Hanna-Barbera universe. The title alone is a perfect example of the fact that Hanna-Barbera was trying as hard as possible to milk Scooby-Doo. Although, Laff-A-Lympics does have a neat concept of a series where over forty characters from across Hanna-Barbera franchises crossover for a parody of the Olympics. The second season would be renamed Scooby's All-Stars until its cancelation. However, it would seem that Hanna-Barbera did not accept defeat, so they decided to give Scooby a cute little sidekick.

The next Scooby-Doo series in release order would have been Scooby-Doo And The Mystery Pups. The Max and Cartoon Network produced series was to be aimed specifically at a preschool audience with Shaggy and Scooby voiced by fan favorites Matthew Lillard and Frank Welker, respectively. The duo were supposed to be camp counselors at a sleep-away camp where there are also puppies and a new mystery being solved. The aim was for the preschool audience to solve the mystery along with the puppies and help improve their confidence in their own problem-solving abilities.

One of his notable moments as a puppy raiser belongs to a dog named Levin that was under his care years ago before being placed with a skilled companion team, where both parents and a child manage a dog at the same time.

It is hard for me to picture a near future where access to clean, fresh water continues in as plentiful a way as it is in most of our country at this moment. Between aging city water infrastructure threatening water quality, increased privatization of water sources, groundwater contamination as a result of fracking and other extractive technologies and the increase in climate extremes including drought and desertification of land that affects agriculture, the current thoughtless use of water in our culture will not be sustained for long. ff782bc1db
