Summer Reading PrograM

Summer reading is going to look and feel a little different this year...

This website will allow you to track which activities you complete for the Summer Reading Program. By using the forms on this website to register and check in, participants will be eligible for prizes that can be picked up at the library. The check in forms also will count as the prize tickets for the end of summer prizes.

Registration and Check In forms are broken into 3 age ranges: Babies, ages birth to 3 years old, Kids PreK-6, for 3 years old to those entering 6th grade in the 2020-21 school year, and Teens, for those entering 7th through 12th grade in the 2020-21 school year.

On the Programs page, we will be putting links and videos to our virtual programs throught the summer. Programs will be streamed on our YouTube and Facebook pages.

If certain activities require an activity sheet, all of those are available for download on the Activity Sheet Page. This page is broken down into sections for Early Literacy (Baby Program), by weeks (for PreK-6) and Teens (7-12). Some of the activities will be crafts. Supplies needed for suggested crafts are available from all Shelby County Libraries locations using Curbside Pick-up. Basic supplies, such as glue sticks and scissors, will not be provided.

Please contact any of our community locations for assistance with this website and the Summer Reading Programs.
