Science is magic that works. I often dream about magic, flying brooms, wands, talking trees, these things may seem impossible, but with science, it might come true. When we learn science, it is a new world to me, I love the thrill of accomplishment when I succeed in understanding something, and I would use it to solve problems and invent things.
"Why?"– This is the word children often say, they are curious, and as a sister to two eight-year-olds, I know how they are. They ask many questions about things we think are usual, and we often ignore them or yell at them for questioning too much; this often makes them stop questioning things. I want to help them rediscover their curiosity and share the joy of accomplishment when they understand something, which is why I plan to host a Science camp to teach kids.
At Jing-Jong elementary July 21 and 22, we will hold a Science Summer camp. As an organizer, I need to write a schedule, talk to the principle, find volunteers, and prepare for the items we need. We are only students, but we could also become teachers. I hope to give the volunteers to find interest in what they are learning and to understand the topic more as they teach.

At first, I planned for the experiments to be held in several different classrooms. This way, it won't get out of control, and the experiments won't go by without bothering from other projects. However, a problem came up, and we had to change places. We relocated to the auditorium, and it went better than I expected. The volunteers could see every experiment and it was easier to manage.
Teaching children science is complicated, especially to elementary students. They can't grasp the idea of molecules, chemical reactions, or even the principles of leverage. This is why popular science is so important. The volunteers use different ways to teach children science. For example, one used personification by turning sodium and calcium molecules into people.
