Ms. Lewis, 7th Grade Science

7th Grade Science Overview

Welcome Back! I am pleased to be one of the 7th grade science teachers at Jacquet MS for the 2020-2021 school year. This year will be unlike any we have ever experienced but I still intend to make it FUN and exciting with virtual labs, labs and simulation and allowing students to choose how they demonstrate their learning (i.e. voice and choice).

This site is still under construction but will house amazing science content within the coming week and throughout the year. Please come back often for amazing science content.

ALL About me....

My name is Ms. Lewis. This is my second year at JMJ Middle School. I taught Social Studies last year but "SCIENCE is my Super Power."

I was born and raised in Fort Worth. I am a product of the Dunbar Pyramid. I graduated from THE Paul L. Dunbar High School in 1988 where I served as class president and was crowned "Miss Dunbar 1988."

I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston and a Master's degree in Science Education from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Teaching is my second career. I became a teacher in August of 2008. I have worked for FWISD as "Campus Teacher of the Year", Lead Content Teacher, Curriculum Writer, Science Specialist, Department Chair and Independent Consultant. I have also spent time in Crowley ISD as well.

I am a published author, mother of 3, a twin to Shondra Lewis, have 4 sisters and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

I look forward to our time of learning and exploring together....
