Sylena Smith

Sylena Smith is a Senior Nuclear Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company and has worked in the Radiation Engineering and Analysis group for the past four years.  She previously worked as a licensing engineer for ten years.

Previously, Sylena has held positions at Northrup Grumman, Idaho National Lab, and Lake Shore Cryotronics.

Sylena holds an Associate of Science degree from Columbus State Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from The Ohio State University.

She is the Chair for Public Outreach for Westinghouse in the Women in Nuclear Pittsburgh Chapter.

In her spare time, Sylena enjoys STEM outreach, volunteering, building stuff, and spending time with her son.
