With an experimental thesis on colorimetric sensors for food freshness monitoring, I gained a Master of Science in Chemistry at University of Pavia and entered the world of multivariate data analysis.

In 2022 I moved from pure analytical chemistry to construction materials field and, nowadays, I work for Mapei S. p. A. as chemical researcher in the High Performance Sustainable Solutions (HPSS) department of the R&D central lab.

To obtain a general science-based technique for admixture formulation, I introduced in the team I joined a chemometric approach for the development and optimization of mixtures and processes.

Main research activity deals with an in-depth understanding of chemical processes happening in a complex matrix (as cement is) but also how to modify the same processes. Currently, my research is mostly focused on the development of new admixtures for sustainable concrete.
