Carlotta Giacobbe

Carlotta Giacobbe is Application Group Manager at Xenocs, Grenoble. 

She has more than 10  years of experience in materials characterization, using synchrotron and laboratory X-ray techniques. She is author of more than 80 publications using  Diffraction and scattering applied to a wide range of materials.  After completing her Ph.D. in “Multiscale Modelling, Computational Simulations and Characterization in materials and life” at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, she has worked for almost a decade at the ESRF (European Synchrotron Radiation Facility),  focusing on the development of diffraction and crystallographic methods. In 2021 she received the Nardelli Prize, a mid-career acknowledgment by the Italian Association of Crystallography. 

At Xenocs, she is involved in customer training,  demonstration, and support, serving with her scientific expertise the SAXS and WAXS community.
