Jean-Marie Aubry is currently Professor Emeritus at the « Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille » (ENSCL) where he designed, in 1988, the first course integrating the various skills required in formulation. His research is related to agro-based solvents and surfactants, applied colloidal chemistry, formulation of micro- and macro-emulsions and modelling of complex systems with COSMO-RS.

He holds an engineering degree from the « Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielles de la ville de Paris » (ESPCI) and obtained his doctorate in Organic Physical Chemistry from the Sorbonne University in Paris. He is co-author of more than 200 publications and winner of the Fillet award in formulation (2017). He is also the editor of the section “Formulation” of the French Encyclopedia “Techniques de l’Ingénieur”.
