Exploring the life and contributions of scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and inventors

Sci.Stories is a technology-infused learning opportunity for students to create an information-rich website featuring the life and accomplishments of a scientist, mathematician, engineer, or inventor.

This competition allows 7th and 8th grade students to incorporate their love of science or mathematics by creating a comprehensive website focusing on a self-selected scientist, mathematician, or engineer whose accomplishments have significantly contributed to the world of progressive science.

Students will create a website using Google Sites to show their research in a meaningful, organized, and instructional way. Included in this multi-paged website will be:

a Home Page
a Biography Page
a Significant Contribution Video Documentary Page
an "A World Without" story page
a Journal Page
a Quiz Page
and an Evidence of Research & Bibliography Page

YEAR TWO SCI.STORY COMPETITORS (8th grade students only)

If you competed in Sci.Story for the 2020-2021 school year:

you must choose a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT historical figure to research;
you must design a NEW, ORIGINAL Google Site;
upon request, you must make last year's Google site available for review.

SCI://TECH 2022 Sci.Story Competition Achievement and Awards

The Sci.Story Web Design contest will recognize student achievement at both the campus and district levels.

Teachers at each campus will recognize five 7th and five 8th grade students to be nominated for a DISTRICT LEVEL COMPETITION, competing with other campuses on their respective event dates.
