Setting up your Reflection journal

All Sci.Story participants will need to document their experience with creating their Sci.Story.

Below are suggested methods to document your learning experience through journaling. You should have at least ONE entry per week in a dated journal format starting no later than September 13, 2021, with a final entry upon the publishing of your Sci.Story website in December for a total of 12 journal entries (minimum).

Use one of the suggested journaling methods below.

This is a REQUIRED component of the competition.

Google Folder Method

Create a Folder in your Google Drive titled "Sci.Story Journal".
Create a NEW Google Document for every new journal entry.
- Use the DATE as the title of the document.
The folder must be linked in your website on your Evidence of Research page.
- Sharing Permissions FOR THE FOLDER must be set to "On - Conroeisd.net"

and/or

Composition Notebook Method

Title your Composition Notebook "Sci.Story Journal".
- This can be lined paper kept organized in a folder.
Create a Title Page with your name and Science Teacher listed.
Start a NEW page for every journal entry.
- Pages MUST be dated with day/month/year (ex. 9/21/21)
An image of the journal with pictures of at least 12 featured pages must be included on your Evidence of Research page, including the first and last entry

What should my reflection journal include?

The reflection journal is meant to document YOUR process for developing your website and documentary. You may document:

Challenges you encounter while creating your website or documentary.

Interesting discoveries as you research your person.

Thoughts and ideas for what to include in your website.

Anything else that you've experienced along the way

Your FIRST entry should answer the following questions:

Why did you choose your person of interest?

What do you know about this person?

What do you hope to learn about this person?
