1. Students will complete all work related to their project. At no time should another person (teacher, parent, other student, etc.) complete any portion of the website or video documentary. Students may ask teachers and parents for input, evaluation, and support, but at no time will the student allow them to do the project's creative work. ALL FINAL DECISIONS ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THE WEBSITE AND DOCUMENTARY WILL BE MADE BY THE STUDENT.
2. Students chosen as a district finalist for the campus will attend the Sci://TECH Sci.Story competition on their campus's assigned date. If the student cannot attend, they must provide a parent-signed note to the teacher prior to the event. Missing the final scoring event automatically removes the entry from the competition for that campus.
3. Students who have participated in Sci.Story at the Intermediate level may NOT use the same subject and materials for the documentary. These students must choose a different person to research.
4. Students may not use their name or campus anywhere publicly displayed in the website. Students will not post any information which leads to their identification in any component of the Sci.Story website or documentary.
5. Students will not plagiarize (or copy) other's work. Direct quotes from researched sources must be cited in APA formatting. Any entry that shows plagiarism (text, videos, multimedia content, images, etc.) will be disqualified from the competition.
6. Students will observe all rules regarding online safety and digital citizenship as outlined by Conroe ISD's student handbook or explained by parents and teachers.
