For our CET meeting on May 28th, we got to hear from School 45's principal Rhonda Morien on their experience tracking school improvement efforts. We also discussed the first slate of recommendations that resulted from the planning of our Curricular Practices workgroup! These recommendations focus on building an inclusive and morale-boosting environment for teachers, enhancing professional development around culturally relevant teaching, and creating school-wide themes for the year that focus on learning about Rochester and connecting students to their roots. With School Based Planning Team's approval, we plan to put these into practice for the coming school year.
