We invite you to take a ride on our Glass Schindler Haughton Elevator, a 1980s relic located in the heart of Des Moines. This hydraulic elevator, installed in circa 1984, runs off of its original (+ LOUD) dry (belt) power unit and relay-based control system boasting incredible "classic" leveling. The Glass Schindler Haughton Elevator also offers top-tier views of the Des Moines skyline.
The building housing the Glass Schindler Haughton Elevator was built in 1971 as the administration center for the AIB College of Business. After the closure of the campus in 2016, the surrounding buildings were sold, with the administration building being redeveloped into a multi-tenant office property.
