Everyday "L's" of Life:
Wearing two different color shoes to work...three times..., forgetting that I put my coffee on the hood of my car until it comes cascading down my windshield, generally being useless in the morning
Things I swore I'd finish but never did:
Many (most) craft projects, journaling every day, that "paint with diamonds" kit I ordered at the beginning of COVID
Memories I made while I wasn't studying/working:
Beach and camping trips with my friends. Weekend trips with my husband visiting as many breweries as we can - Charleston and Asheville so far.
Things I'm proud of that you won't see on my resumé:
I've run 12 half marathons in the past 15 years and my last one (1/2022) was my fastest time in ten years.
I'm a pretty darn good cook/baker and I get obsessed with mastering weird things like Springerle cookies and sauerkraut.
Quirks that make me who I am:
I'm extremely introverted in large groups but will talk your ear off one-on-one.
Life events that made me stronger:
Getting divorced and being laid off from my librarian job, the latter being the most impactful. 40% of library staff in Mecklenburg County were laid off during the recession in 2010.
Unconventional Skills:
Repairing jewelry, thrifting, making pig noises and bunny nose.
