Breaking up is hard to do. Thankfully, exiting SCA New York programs is easy.
Complete an optional "exit coaching meeting" with your Program Coordinator. Please decide if you would like to stay for another season before entering this conversation.Â
(IF IN NYSPC) Complete the internal SCA NYS Parks Corps exit questionnaire. All information collected is for Program Coordinator Zachary Russell, not the SCA as a whole.
Participate in your program's Recognition Ceremony. An invitation and informational handout will be on your team shared Member Drive.
Finalize your plans with your site supervisor, and prepare to exit the program. Your site supervisor will be inspecting your provided housing upon exit for cleanliness; prepare for this with your peers if necessary. Create a "move-out date" with your supervisor, before, on, or after your position's end date.
Complete the SCA's official SCA, National Direct, and AmeriCorps exit questionnaires, sent to your personal email by SCA's HR department, your Program Coordinator, and AmeriCorps. This is necessary to exit you from the program. Information collected is reported to AmeriCorps and the greater SCA. This needs to be done in the week before your position's end date!
Ensure you have 1,700 service hours banked (1,200 for 7-month, 900 for 5-month) before your final week. If you've been asked to write a testimonial, send it to the Program Coordinator.
On your last day, complete your final time log, update your Output Report, and serve at least one hour. On your "move-out date" your supervisor will perform a housing inspection. Upon completion of this, you have successfully exited from the SCA NYS Parks Corps. Congratulations!
