LiDAR Scanning Not Available
Scanveyor's room scanning feature requires a LiDAR-equipped device: iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, or a later Pro/Pro Max model, or iPad Pro (2020 or later). Live scanning cannot run in the Simulator or on devices without a LiDAR scanner.
Scan Quality or Tracking Issues
For the most accurate scan, move slowly and steadily, scan in a well-lit room, and avoid highly reflective or glass surfaces, which can interfere with LiDAR tracking. If a scan looks distorted, you can delete it and re-scan the affected area.
Subscription Not Unlocking Tools
If you've subscribed but the app is still showing the paywall, open the Store tab and tap "Restore Purchases." This re-syncs your subscription status with the App Store and restores access if your subscription is active. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used to purchase.
Photos Not Saving or Importing
Confirm Scanveyor has permission to access your Photo Library under Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos on your device.
Exported PDF or DXF Not Opening Correctly
DXF files are designed to open in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or LibreCAD/QCAD. PDF exports open in any standard PDF viewer. If a DXF file won't open, confirm your CAD software supports standard ASCII DXF import.
Data and Backup
Scans, floor plans, and heat load results are stored locally on your device. Use the iCloud Backup option in Settings to create a backup copy of your data, or use Export to save a project as a shareable .zip file you can move to another device.

Scanveyor respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it's used, and what is not collected.
All scans, floor plans, wall and envelope details, notes, photos, and heat load calculation results are stored locally on your device. Scanveyor does not operate its own servers and does not transmit your project data to us or to any third party.
If you choose to use the iCloud Backup feature in Settings, your data is backed up to your own personal iCloud Drive account, governed by Apple's own privacy practices. We do not have access to your iCloud account or its contents.
Scanveyor uses your device's camera and LiDAR scanner to create 3D scans of rooms for measurement purposes, and to let you take reference photos attached to a scan. Captured scan data and photos stay on your device, and optionally your personal iCloud, unless you explicitly export or share them yourself.
With your permission, Scanveyor can access your photo library to attach existing reference photos to a scan, and can save exported floor plans back to your photo library. Photos you add are stored locally as part of the app's data.
Scanveyor requests access to your location only while the app is in use, and only to read your device's compass heading during a scan. This is used to automatically tag walls with an approximate compass direction for solar heat gain calculations. Scanveyor does not track, store, or transmit your GPS location or location history.
Scanveyor offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions, processed entirely through Apple's App Store. Scanveyor does not receive, process, or store your payment information; that is handled directly by Apple and governed by Apple's own privacy policy and App Store terms.
Scanveyor does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We do not collect usage analytics, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
If you contact us for support, any information you provide, such as your email address or a description of an issue, is used solely to respond to your inquiry and improve the app. We do not use this information for marketing purposes.
Scanveyor is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the app or applicable law. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
