Scanova is designed to respect your privacy by processing most of your data locally on your device.
Documents & Images: When you scan documents, extract text (OCR), or import images, this data is processed and stored locally on your device using your device's storage and Google ML Kit. We do not upload your documents to our servers.
Biometric Data: If you use the app lock feature, your biometric data (fingerprint/face) is handled securely by your device's operating system. We never have access to this data.
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID, IP address, and other usage data to provide personalized ads.
Google ML Kit & Gemini AI: Some advanced AI features (like translation model downloads or Gemini AI queries) may require a temporary internet connection to communicate with Google's servers.
Analytics/Crashlytics (if applicable): We may collect anonymous crash reports to help improve the app's stability.

Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (scanning, PDF creation, etc.).

Camera Permission: Required to scan documents and capture photos.
Storage/Media Permission: Required to import images from your gallery and save PDF/Image files to your device.
Internet Permission: Required to load advertisements and download necessary AI/Translation models.
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Since your documents are saved locally, the security of your scanned files relies on your device's security (e.g., your device passcode or app PIN code).
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
