App: QR Maker: QR Code Generator (previously published as "ScannR") Developer: SADIQUL AMIN, an individual developer ("we", "us", "our") Contact: assistance.scannr@gmail.com Last updated: September 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information QR Maker (the "App") handles, why, and the choices you have. We designed the App to work without an account and to keep your content on your device.
No account or sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the App.
Your QR codes stay on your device. Codes you create or scan, templates, folders, and history are stored locally on your iPhone.
No ads and no cross-app tracking. We do not show ads, do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and do not sell your data.
Anonymous analytics and crash reports. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the App is used and to fix crashes. This data is not linked to your identity.
Online lookups. A few features fetch content from third-party services: product details for a barcode (EAN-DB), brand logos (Eulerpool Logo API), icons (Iconify), and emoji graphics (EmojiReach, and Twemoji delivered through the jsDelivr CDN). Only what that feature needs is sent.
The following content is created by you and stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers:
QR code and barcode content you create or scan (for example: website links, Wi-Fi network names and passwords, contact details, text, and SMS content)
Generated QR images, GIF QR codes, and custom templates
Logos, backgrounds, and images you add to your designs
Folders, scan history, and creation history
You can delete individual items inside the App. Deleting the App removes this data from your device. If you use iCloud or device backups, this data may be included in those backups under Apple's policies.
The App only asks for permissions when you use a feature that needs them:
Camera — to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera frames are processed on your device and are not stored or uploaded.
Photo Library — to let you pick images (for logos, backgrounds, GIFs, or decoding a QR code from a photo) and to save the codes you create. The App only accesses the images you select or save.
Contacts (only if you choose to import a contact) — to fill in a contact QR code from a contact you pick. The App uses only that contact, generates the code on your device, and never uploads it.
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings > QR Maker.
We use two services from Google LLC:
Firebase Analytics collects:
A random app instance ID (not linked to your name, email, or advertising identifier)
App interactions, such as screens viewed, features used, and session length
In-app purchase events (product ID and price) as measured through Apple's StoreKit
Device model, iOS version, app version, and language
Approximate location at country/region level, derived by Google from a masked IP address (the App does not use GPS or Location Services)
Firebase Crashlytics collects:
Crash reports, including stack traces and the app state at the time of the crash
Device and operating system information
Why we use it: to understand which features are useful, measure app performance, and fix bugs.
This data is not linked to your identity, is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and is not used for advertising.
Some features fetch content from third-party services over the internet. Each request contains only what that feature needs. As with any internet request, these services may receive your device's IP address. We do not send your scan history, QR code contents, or any personal information with these requests.
Product barcode lookup (EAN-DB). When you scan a product barcode (for example, EAN or UPC) and view product details, the App sends the barcode number only to EAN-DB (operated by EAN-DB DOO) to retrieve product information such as name, brand, category, and image. EAN-DB's handling of requests is governed by its own privacy policy: https://ean-db.com/policy/privacy
Regular QR code scans are processed on your device and are not sent to this service.
Logo search (Eulerpool Logo API). When you search for a brand logo to add to a QR code, the App sends the company name or website domain you enter to Eulerpool to retrieve the logo image. Eulerpool's handling of requests is governed by its privacy policy: https://eulerpool.com/privacy-policy
Icon search (Iconify). When you browse or search icons to add to a QR code, the App requests icon data from the Iconify API (https://api.iconify.design/). The request contains only the icon name or search term. Iconify's privacy policy: https://iconify.design/privacy/
Emoji graphics (EmojiReach). When you add an emoji to a design, the App may request the emoji image from EmojiReach. The request identifies only the emoji being loaded.
Emoji graphics (Twemoji via jsDelivr). The App uses Twemoji graphics for emoji and sticker-style content. These images may be loaded through the jsDelivr content delivery network (CDN). To deliver them, the CDN provider may process standard technical information such as your IP address, device and network information, and request details. We do not use these requests to identify you. jsDelivr's privacy policy: https://www.jsdelivr.com/terms/privacy-policy
Logos and emojis you add to a design are then stored on your device like the rest of your content.
All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details or your Apple Account information. We only receive the purchase status needed to unlock premium features. Refunds are handled by Apple.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We do not share your information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not include advertising SDKs or ad networks.
We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
