Thank you for using ScanForge. This Privacy Policy explains how ScanForge ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application available on Google Play.

ScanForge is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

All data generated by the App (scan history, preferences, generated barcodes) is stored exclusively on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

The App uses your device camera solely to scan barcodes and QR codes. Camera access is used only during active scanning sessions and no images are stored, transmitted, or processed outside your device.

When you scan a food or product barcode, the App may query public open-source databases (such as Open Food Facts) using the barcode number only. No personal information is sent with these requests.

The Wi-Fi QR scanning feature reads network credentials from QR codes to facilitate automatic connection. Wi-Fi passwords are used solely for device connection and are never stored, logged, or transmitted to any server.

Generated barcodes and QR codes are created locally on your device and stored only in your device's local storage. We have no access to the content you encode.

Country of origin information is derived from the barcode prefix using a local database stored on your device. No external requests are made for this feature.

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain device information to serve relevant ads in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. This is governed by Google's data practices and not by ScanForge.

In-app purchases are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store any payment information. All transactions are governed by Google Play's Terms of Service.

ScanForge does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

All App data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms. We implement no server-side storage, eliminating the risk of server breaches affecting your data.
