ScanMate (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application (“App”).
Device Data: We may collect basic technical information such as device model, operating system, and crash logs to improve app performance.
Scanned Documents: All documents you scan remain stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or back them up.
User Data (Future use): In future updates, we may collect your name and email address if you sign in with Firebase or provide your details voluntarily. This will be used for personalized communication, app improvements, and promotional offers.

Local Storage: By default, your scanned documents remain on your device. We do not automatically upload them to any server.

Third Parties: We do not sell your personal information. Limited sharing may occur with service providers (like Firebase) to operate and improve the app.
In future updates, ScanMate may show advertisements. Advertisers may use cookies or device identifiers to show personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads from your device settings.
You can delete scanned files anytime from your device.
You can opt out of providing personal details (name/email) if you don’t want to receive promotional communication.
You can manage ad personalization in your device’s privacy settings.
ScanMate is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us for removal.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised “Effective date.”
