Privacy Policy for Scan PDF AI

Scan PDF AI is a free, ad-supported document scanning app built by GG Housing.
Documents stay on your device: Documents you scan or import are processed and stored locally on your device. Text extraction (OCR) runs on your device using Google's ML Kit. Your documents and their contents are never uploaded to us or to any server by this app. PDFs you create are saved to your device, including a copy in your Downloads folder, and leave the device only when you choose to share them.
Camera and photos: The camera is used only to scan documents. Photos you select from your gallery are used only to create the documents you build. The app does not access your photo library beyond the images you pick.
ID Photo and Cut Background: Photos you take or choose for the ID Photo and Cut Background features are processed only on your device, to remove or replace the background. They are never uploaded to us or to any server. Cut Background uses an image segmentation model that Google Play services downloads to your device. We do not collect, store or receive any of your photos or images.
Advertising: The app shows ads served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To serve and measure ads, Google may automatically collect certain data from your device, including the device advertising ID, IP address, and information about ad interactions. This data is processed under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can learn how Google uses data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your device's Google settings. Users in the European Economic Area and the UK are shown a consent message before personalised ads are served.
Children: The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes: We may update this policy from time to time; updates will be posted on this page.
