The Daily is developed and published by Scadu Games ("Scadu Games," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how The Daily handles information when you use the game on Android or desktop.
The Daily does not require an account.
Scadu Games does not operate a server that receives your gameplay progress, guesses, statistics, settings, or unlocks.
Gameplay information is stored locally on your device.
Android purchases are processed by Google Play. The game receives limited purchase information needed to grant coins, restore the Remove Forced Ads entitlement, and prevent duplicate fulfillment.
The current version does not initialize an advertising service and does not display advertisements.
The game does not include analytics, crash-reporting, cloud-save, multiplayer, chat, or social-sharing services.
Scadu Games does not sell personal information.
The Daily does not ask you to create an account or provide your name, email address, birthday, postal address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photographs, camera data, microphone recordings, or social-media profile.
The game has no player-to-player communication and does not allow users to publish content to other players.
The Daily stores information locally so that the game can function and preserve your progress. This may include:
Submitted guesses and the state of an unfinished or completed daily puzzle;
Experience points, level, coins, hints, unlocks, selected backgrounds, color themes, and game styles;
Daily and custom-game statistics, streaks, completed puzzles, guess distributions, and hints used;
Owned in-game entitlements and a record used to prevent the same Google Play purchase from being granted more than once; and
Settings such as sound volume, display options, reduced motion, and keyboard layout.
Gameplay profiles and daily-progress files are stored using Godot's encrypted-file format. Settings are stored in a local settings file. These files remain on your device and are not uploaded to a Scadu Games server. Operating-system backup features may copy application data according to your device and platform settings.
The Daily uses your device clock to determine the current daily puzzle, daily streak timing, and the countdown to the next puzzle day. Daily rollover follows Pacific Time. The game does not request your location to perform this calculation and does not contact a time server during normal play.
The Android version uses Google Play Billing for optional purchases, including coin packs and the permanent Remove Forced Ads entitlement. Google Play, not Scadu Games, collects and processes your payment method and full payment details. The Daily does not receive your complete credit-card number, bank-account number, or Google account password.
To display offers, complete purchases, prevent duplicate fulfillment, and restore eligible purchases, The Daily may receive purchase-related information from Google Play. This can include:
Product identifiers and localized prices;
Purchase status, purchase time, and acknowledgement status;
The application's package name;
A Google Play purchase token and signature; and
Whether a permanent product is currently owned.
The Daily processes this information on your device. It does not currently send purchase information to a Scadu Games-operated verification server. For fulfilled purchases, the local encrypted profile retains the product identifier and a SHA-256 hash of the purchase token. The full purchase token is kept only while the game is processing acknowledgement or consumption with Google Play.
Coin packs are consumable purchases. After a valid completed purchase, the game grants the purchased coins and asks Google Play to consume the purchase so the pack can be purchased again. Consumed coin purchases and the resulting coin balance are stored locally and generally cannot be reconstructed if the game's local data is erased. The Remove Forced Ads entitlement is a permanent purchase and may be restored by querying Google Play.
Google may retain transaction and account information under its own terms and privacy policy. See [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
The current version of The Daily does not initialize an advertising SDK and does not display advertisements. The Android application is designed to support advertising in a future release, and it includes a permanent Remove Forced Ads entitlement. Scadu Games will update this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosures before releasing a version that activates advertising. That update will identify the advertising provider, information processed, purposes, sharing practices, retention, consent controls, and any child-directed treatment.
The Android application may declare internet and network-state access. The current version uses network access for Google Play Billing, including loading product details, opening purchases requested by the user, checking purchase status, and restoring eligible entitlements.
The Daily does not request access to sensitive device features such as contacts, precise location, photographs, shared files, camera, or microphone.
If you voluntarily contact Scadu Games for support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, attachments, and troubleshooting details. We use that information to respond to your request, investigate problems, protect the game from abuse, and maintain necessary support records. Please do not send sensitive personal information in a support request.
Support email is handled through Google's email services, and this Privacy Policy is hosted on Google Sites. Google may process device, browser, network, cookie, account, and message information under its own privacy policy when you visit this page or send an email. The Daily itself does not open this policy page or the data-source references shown in the Information screen during normal gameplay.
Scadu Games does not sell or rent personal information. The game does not share locally stored gameplay information with advertisers, analytics companies, social networks, or other players.
Information may be handled by Google when necessary to provide Google Play distribution, billing, purchase restoration, email support, or Google Sites hosting. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce applicable terms, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect users, Scadu Games, or others.
Local game information remains on your device until it is overwritten through normal use, cleared through your device's application settings, or removed by uninstalling the game. Because The Daily does not provide an online account or cloud save, Scadu Games generally has no remote copy of this gameplay information to access or delete.
Google Play may retain purchase records under Google's policies. Clearing The Daily's local data does not delete records held by Google. It can also remove local coin balances and consumed-purchase history that the game cannot restore. A permanent Remove Forced Ads entitlement may be restored through Google Play.
Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, troubleshoot issues, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of support information that Scadu Games controls by contacting us at the address below. We may retain limited information when required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping.
Scadu Games uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled by the game. These include local encrypted save files for gameplay profiles and daily progress, retaining a hash instead of the full fulfilled purchase token, and using Google Play's billing flow rather than collecting payment-card details directly. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The Daily can be played without an account, personal profile, chat, precise location, or submission of personal information to Scadu Games. Scadu Games does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children through the game.
Parents and guardians should supervise purchases and support communications. If you believe a child has sent personal information to Scadu Games through a support request, contact us so that we can review and delete information we control where appropriate.
You can:
Play without creating an account;
Decline optional purchases;
Clear local game information through your device settings or by uninstalling the game;
Manage Google Play purchases through your Google account; and
Contact Scadu Games to ask about, correct, or request deletion of support information we control.
Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide additional rights. Scadu Games will respond to applicable requests after taking reasonable steps to verify the request.
Scadu Games may update this Privacy Policy when the game's features, service providers, legal requirements, or information-handling practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be disclosed in the game or store listing when required.
